The Complainant has totally misrepresented the facts concerning our representation of her in this matter She initially retained us to assist in a custody and parental access matter reg***ng her child, as well as a divorceAfter much negotiation we achieved her goal which was a schedule and location she agreed upon with the child's father Thereafter, in order to pursue the divorce the court required an assortment of financial documents from both parties [redacted] as you can see by this motion consistently refused to provide said documents; refused to answer our inquiries by email, telephone and text She literally disappeared despite the fact that we advised her, and her family that she was jeop***zing her position before the court for failing to act according to the court orders In the midst of this I received a call from her brother and other family members telling me that she had had a nervous breakdown and would I reduce the amount she owed me to $2, I said I would not but would reduce it to $4, For months, I was threatened with internet attacks in order for me to reduce my fee to what they wanted I continued to represent her as best I could without payment for literally two years At one point she gave a credit card for her payment which was ultimately rejected I explained that as a matter of law I was not obligated to give her her file until she paid I told her what my terms were which was far less than what she owed me Because she would not respond, I was forced to make a motion to be relieved which I have attached She then settled with me for $4,which she has paid and I have released her file At all times we responded to her when she contacted us Frankly however the problem was really she refused to contact us She would make claims that she had called and left messages but it was totally untrue All my clients have my email, office number, cell number I answer emails, telephone calls and texts I do not have a single text, email or telephone message that supports her claim This complaint should be dismissed If you would like any additional information please do not hesitate to contact me Sincerely Dawn MC***
