I am a property manager in Phoenix. We have about 150 units throughout the valley. Cardinal Heating and Cooling have replaced 2 air conditioners for us in the last 3 months. They are affordable, professional, and timely. Our most recent install had a manufacturers defect. Management was notified late in the day of the issue. Cardinal was onsite within a couple hours and stayed late into the night until the units was up and running. I highly recommend doing business with this outfit.

Our 25 year old Goettl finally died on Fathers Day. Of course, the hottest day of the year! I found Cardinal on Craigslist. Contacted them on Monday night at 5pm. We had a new unit up and running by 2pm the next day! Very professional, great price, prompt service!

Exremely satisfied with this outfit. Resonded to my call immediately. Told me what they were going to do, when they would arrive and what the costs were.

They showed up exactly on time. They completed the work as agreed, they cleaned up...... all the people involved, German, Rachel, Nick and Paul were excellent and pleasent to deal with!

Now we'll just see how their recomended products perform..................

German and his crew did a great job. He was able to have a 5 ton unit installed the next day as he promised. It has been a week now and everything is working as it should. We are pleased with our decision to use Cardinal.

Review: June 18, 2015 Cardinal advertised a newer used( excellent condition with a 2 year warranty for $1500.00 installed. We felt being a newer and in excellent condition with a 2 year warranty that would be a fair price to pay. They installed the unit on 6/18/15. The manager ([redacted]) was given my credit card to pay for the unit. The same day they started working another unit in this complex as it had also just quit working and the temp was 114 degrees and to hot to survive without air. [redacted] claimed the motor was burnt out and would cost $780.00 to repair, again I agreed as the temp was unbearable and one of the childs health was in jeopardy without air conditioning. [redacted] did not get paid for the second unit as one of the owners was in town and I thought he would rather pay for this repair rather than me paying. Thankfully he did not get paid for the job he claimed to install a new motor and blower cage. The motor they installed is an old and rusty motor that runs backwards from what the unit needed, and the blower cage her replaced with a new one was not new and the wrong one and installed backwards.June 22, 2015 at 8:34 pm I got an emergency call that the used a/c I just purchased quit working. I texed [redacted] to inform him that the used used a/c quit working., and asked him when he would finish repairing the other unit as it was not cooling down the apartment.. since then I have not heard a word from him except for last week someone from that company emailed me with threats. I did call my bank to cancel the transaction and my bank did call Cardinal to no avail. Cardinal has not responded to me or the bank s if they could care less. We have saved the old motors in case Cardinal does not believe us.Desired Settlement: The motor for the used a/c cost $519.00 that we had to purchase. It is a special variable speed and programable motor that only Trane sells. I have paid . Plus the labor to install it. Cardinal charged me about $400.00 to install a used motor on the other apartment so together if they reduce the bill to $600.00 I will consider making a settlement with them. Then comes the question, the warranty he sold with the unit, must have some value. How much value does Cardinal feel the warranty worh

Very satisfied with Cardinal Heating and Cooling! They came out immediately to give an estimate and quickly installed a unit by Carrier so my tenants wouldn't be without air. They have huge selection of brands and unit ton sizes. Pricing is very inexpensive and they offered the best financing compared to anyone else in town. I was in desperate bind and they came through for me. Unit working perfect...would recommend Cardinal Heating and Cooling to everyone!!!

Review: I PURCHASED A 4 TON [redacted] HEAT PUMP FROM CARDINAL ON 8-28-13. THE UNIT NOW HAS THE FAN RUNNING ALL THE TIME, AND DOES NOT PRODUCE ANY HEAT. I HAVE CALLED THE NUMBER ON THE INVOICE, [redacted] AND GET TRANSFERED TO AN IN OPERATABLE VOICE BOX. WHEN I TRY TO E-MAIL TO - [redacted], THE MAIL IS RETURNED STATING NO SUCH ADDRESS.

I WISH TO FIND THESE PEOPLE AND REQUIRE THEM TO CORRECT MY PROBLEM.Desired Settlement: HONOR THEIR WARRANTY.

We recently moved here and are repairing my Mother's home. We have had all kinds of repair people in and out of here. Some good .. some not so good. But working with Cardinal was amazing. I spoke with [redacted] on several occaisions with 100 questions, he answered each and every one of them. Emailing me info on anything I asked. [redacted] was so helpful and kind he offered to come out SAME DAY and put a hvac on my house. He did not want us to be uncomfortable. I went with Cardinal and could not be happier. The crew as fast, friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond the scope of work that was promised. The unit is working great and we could not be happier. [redacted] has even called to make sure we are happy and thanked us for our business !! What a great company! I would recommend this Company time and time again. Thank you Cardinal Heating & Cooling for your, outstanding customer service, product knowledge and affordable prices !!!

I was told that installation would take 2-4 hours. It took 10 hours.

The service technicians needed to move my water heater in order to install the air handler, which added extra time to installation, but should have added 6 hours. They were on the phone very often and left for a 2 hour lunch break. In addition, the valve to the hot water heater now leaks, they popped the tire on my hand truck, that they used without permission and left me with a kitchen faucet that was not working. I later discovered that it had something to do with the water pressure and the regulator in the faucet line and repaired it. If they are moving hot water heaters, they should have knowledge about plumbing. They should have replaced the valve and replaced the flat tire. I told them I would stop payment unless they returned and repaired the items they broke. But, the owner said that I would need to call a plumber to replace the valve and faucet and he would not pay to repair the tire. They didn't return. The owner instead began texting me the following morning with threats to put a lien on my house at 4:53 am. Terrible service and poor knowledge of their business.

Review: Charged without providing the service/product

1. Supposed to have replaced an AC unit in a rental house in Phoenix on 08/13/2013, which he charged on my credit card

2. I was told that has 10 year warranty on parts and 1 year warranty on labor

3. Called the company on 07/25/14 to tell the owner (phone ###-###-####) that unit is not working. First, the person who answered the phone said that it is not Cardinal Heating and Cooling and I have the wrong number. I called again and insisted it is the correct number, same person told me that he is out of town on vacation and will return on Monday. I called him today, July 28, 2014, and gave him the address. He sent someone to look at the unit. He said, he will charge $ 198 for labor. I told him, this is under warranty. At that point he said that he never worked/ installed the unit. If he is to be believed, then why he took my credit card number and charged $1400 on it.

4. I believe that he never changed the unit or worked but charged 1400 on my credit card. No invoice was provided

5. After I told him about the charge on my credit card, he is not picking up the phone or answering the text messages. I live in California. The rental house is in Phoenix, where this company is based.

I am also compensating the tenant until the AC is fixed. Based on the above information, I believe that this company committed a fraud.Desired Settlement: He needs to refund all money and compensate me for actual charges for inconvenience to my tenant/loss of rent

HE WAS CHARGED OVER 1YR AGO FOR THE USED UNIT AND THATS IT WE HAVE NOT CHARGED ANYTHING ELSE ON HIS CREDIT CARD. HE CALLED US BACK OUT FOR A SERVICE CALL WHICH WE DID FREE OF CHARGE THE CUSTOMER IS UPSET BECAUSE HE CALLED OVER WEEKEND AND WE WERE CLOSED. I TRIED CALLING THE CUSTOMER AND HE WILL NOT RETURN ARE CALLS TO ASK HIM WHY HE WOULD PUT SUCH A NEGATIVE REVIEW AND LIE ABOUT IT.PLEASE REMOVE THIS NEGATIVE REVIEW BECAUSE CUSTOMER IS NOT BEING HONEST. WE SAW CARDINAL HEATING & COOLING ON CRIAGS LIST AND NEEDING 2 AC UNITS CALL THEM FOR AN ESTIMATE.THERE PRICING WAS EXCELLANT.HAVING CHECKED AROUND AND RESEARCHING AC UNITS WE KNOW THIS.THEY INSTALLED 2 SPLIT UNITS IN AN RESONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME. Our air conditioner went out the week the weather was nearing 100 degrees. After trying to fix it ourselves and not succeeding, we had a company come out to let us know that the compressor was bad and would cost around $1600. Living paycheck to paycheck we just couldn't afford to pay that. We called several different places because we were thinking of replacing the entire unit but we couldn't qualify for financing. We found Cardinal and called and explained our situation. They said they had a used unit for $1200 and would accept a payment arrangement from us. They came the same day and installed the unit which is running beautifully. We are so thankful to them! They helped us out of a difficult situation and were kind and courteous throughout. I don't think we would have made it another week without air! Thank you Cardinal!

[redacted] with Cardinal Heating and Cooling was very courteous and professional. We called them for a quote for an HVAC replacement in the morning and they had the job completed by late afternoon. We could not have been more pleased.

Needed a new split ac unit, called a couple places for quotes, [redacted] at Cardinal won. They replaced the old unit and took care of me. Thank you for positive experience.

I set up an appt with them the day before between 8 and 9 am. At 1130 I called them to find out when they planned on showing up. I was a little upset because I didn't even get a phone call. Anyhow the earliest they said they could be out was 430 pm. Needless to say I was not very happy but accepted their offer. They then said they do not want to deal with an angry customer and flat out refused to come out. [redacted] poor customer service and experience with this company and I would not recommend using them. Should have known better than to go the cheap route and use anybody from [redacted].

Cardinal Heating & Cooling has saved us twice! We have two units. Both have gone down this summer. German and crew were quick to respond, made correct diagnosis and fast repairs. The second unit needed to be replaced. That was done professionally, in excellent time and the price was right! I highly recommend this great crew and company!

After spending days getting quotes from several companies decided on Cardinal AC/Heating who quoted best price. Literally in 3 hours the brand new unit, all new duct work, AC stand, and thermostat was done. I climbed on the roof and watched the install everything was done right and technicians were friendly and professional. I would highly recommend this company to anyone!
