I was away on vacation and returned on Sunday 8/24.   I collected all my mail and as of today, 8/25 have not received the check from Honda stated in the resolution.

I am familiar with this issue. I have been in contact with the warranty company. The problem was that the service advisor called the failed part a shock. ( This is Honda's official name for this part.). Unfortunately the warranty company does not cover shocks. So they refused the claim. We explained that although Honda calls this part a shock, it really is a strut. We have gotten the claim approved and have a check for [redacted] for the amount requested. $567.36
