I sent my wife up to have her tires resealed due to air leaks in the rims and during the service the tech forcefully removed a perfectly good rotor splash shield from the driver side just because it was slightly rubbing on the rotor, instead of bending it back away from the rotor as they should have When contacting the tech a few weeks later, after I finally discovered what was done, I was told this was common practice and that their policy does not require them to receive permission from the customer unless they intend to charge them for it I had already had a replacement for the passenger side on order since it was in a state of disrepair, but the driver side would not have needed replaced if they had not forcefully torn it off It is my belief that this is actually a form a vandalization and feel that they should, at the very least, replace the part they have intentionally damagedSince my schedule conflicts with the owners availability, I had my wife hand deliver a letter ask
