Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: It's the same old story. This man has had our car since May 2014 and was paid on July 18 by GEICO and has been telling us this story since. My husband and I drove to Odessa a month ago and found the car in the same state as it was when it was first left at the shop; we have pictures showing the original engine still in the car. It was untouched and when we confronted [redacted] about the car we were treated very rudely and asked to leave. He has not contacted us in any way and never answers the phone when we call; he has caller ID. If his story is true why hasn't he contacted us and why didn't he show us the new engine when we were there. Please help us.
Regards,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] Brought his Pt Cruiser to Cardoza auto repair for a noise that he thought his engine was making. One of out technicians determined that the strut mount was rattling when the car was running causing engine noise. At this time the customer had been charged $100 this was the deductible from...

his warranty company. The warranty company later determined that the strut mount was not covered by the warranty. Mr [redacted] was not charged anything more than his $100 dollars even though that the part its self without labor cost more than his deductible. It was also found that his warranty company does not cover the horn problem. I purchased the business on January 16th 2015. Mr. [redacted]'s Pt Cruiser was here at this time and he expressed to me that the horn did not work and he had been charged $100 dollars and promised that it would be fixed by the previous manager. I told him that I would look into it. After extensive FREE diagnosis we found that the horn pad switch was not working, we placed a purchase order for parts and tried to move the vehicle out of the bay and it would not start we spent two to three hours trying to determine why the vehicle ran but would not start a few hours later we found that the SKIM module was completely missing. Parts for the horn were put on hold pending customers decision moving forward on the missing skim module. Customer was contacted and we explained the problem to him, a SKIM module was ordered from the dealership. When the part was obtained, the vehicle was sent out to a local shop with capabilities to program the module as our machine was down at the time. Upon completion Mr. [redacted] Paid the exact cost of the part from the dealership  and the cost to program it and not a penny more. The invoices showing our cost on both items were available for him when he picked up his car. Due to the difficulty of working with Mr. [redacted] and his inability to understand that his $100 dollars was used toward his strut mount when the warranty company denied his claim for repair I made the decision that he should have his horn worked on elsewhere as his business and attitude were no longer welcome. In short even without the strut mount Mr. [redacted] Received services for free of charge.  The skim module parts installation and programing should of cost him well over $600 he was charged parts and programing only, no labor and no towing fees.  Mr. [redacted] is more than welcome to pay the full invoice for this and the horn diagnostics at which point I would be more than happy to return the $100 dollars that he feels he lost.

[redacted] motor has been replaced and the vehicle is running great.  There are some additional issues that Cardozas auto is addressing to complete the job. The additional work that is being performed is not on the insurance claim. But in all fairness we want to address the issues to assist the customers due to the time issue to complete the job. Cardozas had to order additional parts which we are currently waiting for. Cardozas auto wants to make sure the job is completed one time with no issues in the future.

Thank you.
