I signed on with CareConnect as of April *** They provided me with a price for Medical and Prescription coverage, I sent the check the same dayThey cashed the check on April *** 2016, but later we find out it was never "applied to my account to show I was an active member." I went to a doctor on April ** 2016, I still hadn't received my insurance cards showing I was an active member, the office had to call and get co payment information and proof I was coveredI then had to fill a prescription, my doctors office called it in and upon going to pick it up the pharmacy said I wasn't coverageWell that started a day back-and-forth, run-around between, CareConnect, CareMart, and my local ***CareConnect took my payment and two weeks later still never applied it to my accountI called and was on the phone for hours and was promised by a manager Kelly (ID #: ***) that it would be handled first thing in the morning because the billing department was out for the dayWhen I woke up the next day I didn't hear from *** or a CareConnect rep by noon so I called and started to investigateI talked to another manager Jason (ID #: ***) (blatant liar) from the Kansas City Department of CareConnect, he told me that my medical coverage was applied and active but that CareMart computers system were down for a few hours and they were submitting my request to get approved but because the systems were down it was out of there handsI called CareMart and spoke to a lovely woman Tamika.M and she told me, NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE COMPUTER SYSTEM, no problems all day, THE SYSTEMS NEVER WENT DOWN ALL DAY, even asked and confirmed with her coworker sitting next to her!!!! She then proceed to handle my situation in a professional manner! Tamika.M and I conference called CareConnect, Kasanas City department that was handling my account and requested to speak to Jason (ID #: ***) (blatant liar) but he was not available to speak with all a sudden!! In a minute call with CareMart we resolved everything, that CareConnect could not! And I remind you CareMart COMPUTER SYSTEM WAS NEVER DOWN NOR HAVE A PROBLEMIs this the CARE you get from an insurance company, playing with your HEALTHMy life is in their hands and they just kept passing me on to the next rep and no one was able to help me and I was even purposely lied too by Jason (ID #: ***)! This is unacceptable when it comes to a humans healthA service I paid for, and they messed up my paper work and/or processing my paymentA humans health is not a small matter, I am highly disgusted by CareConnect and how they handled my situationIf you have an option DO NOT choose CARECONNECT as your insurance company!

I contacted Care connect a few weeks ago to inquire about starting coverage for my small businessI was on the phone with a rep by the name of keith c***He was extremely rude and did not seem to want to assist meThe reason I am filing this complaint isn't because of his rudeness it is because of what happened when he put me on hold or so he thoughtI assume he thought he put me on hold when he put the phone down but I could hear his conversation with the woman he was flirting withHe proceeded to state-this *** is getting on my nerves with all these *** questionsI was not only shocked but also disgusted that I called out my name for asking simple questions but I was belittledIt is horrible to have a person speak about their consumers this way whether I can hear it or notNeedless to say I will be boycotting Care Connect and filing complaints with the attorney generalIf these are our "care connectors" you may want to find new ones because they are costing you business

I have not had to file any claims, but their overall system for payment is a mess They have the work farmed out to PaySpanHealth and for the past months they have not been able to display or issue bills correctly from that service I have talked to their customer service (Care Connect) many times and they are terrible at followup and execution If you do sign up with them, expect a lot of noise on trying to get a bill paid
