I was worried about using a professional resume writing company but I read the numerous positive reviews Career Pro Resumes has received and it turns out a close friend had used them a few years back and raved about them. She's continued to refer knowing everyone will get a high-quality resume. Needless to say that sealed the deal on my contacting them. I have been more than pleased with the service and results. Mr. took the necessary time and care in get new and detailed information and not just rehashing the information I had. After looking online at many resume writing companies I chose to use Career Pro Resume and they did a great job on my resume. Not only did they take what was on my previous version of my resume but they also had me complete a resume preparation questionnaire. I will say it took some work on my part to complete the questionnaire. After they received my questionnaire I had my first draft back in 3 days. The resume that I received was much better than anything that I could have done on my own. They took a three-page resume that I couldn't figure out how to condense and made a great two-page executive resume for me. It seems to really capture what was important for others to know about me.

I met with the owner *** and reviewed his services for resume creation and job preparation. He spoke well about how his services would help me and when I was hesitant to sign up for his services immediately he told me that I would be able to cancel the services if I was not happy with the proof. And that as long as I did not sign off on proof copy acceptance he would refund me the money. I left him with my, then current, resume. After a day or two passed I informed him via email that I did not want to use his services. He did not respond. Instead several days later he sent me a proof of the updated resume. After seeing the proof I again informed him that I was not happy with the proof and would like a refund. He told me that we never had the conversation and ceased to respond to me correspondence thereafter. I have since searched online for reviews on his services and have noticed this is a pattern for he and his company.

Desired Outcome

Refund I would like a full refund.

Dear Revdex.com, thank you for allowing CareerPro Resumes to respond to the submitted complaint by our client ***, who hired us to perform a resume rewrite, who received the first draft as ordered on deadline, and which she has had full ownership and use of. Contrary to her statements in the complaint, however, she was never told that she would receive a refund if not satisfied with the first draft, as the creative process is called that because it usually takes one or two minor revisions to get a creative document perfect. It is expected that clients will make changes, at no charge, to the first draft! Our refund policy is clearly stated in her signed Invoice, which she has a copy of. We have helped over 20,000 happy clients, none of whom misspoke about conversations we did not have with them, or put words in our mouths that we did not speak. I am disappointed in Ms., and I wish her luck with her resume that she signed for, paid for, and received from us on time and according to her directions. Contrary to the response of ***, he did indeed state that he would not deposit my check until I signed off on and approved the final version. Additionally, the first draft needed significant work as it was a poor copy and paste of my then current resume.

Again, I would like a refund as the resume was not satisfactorily completed "according to my direction" and *** stopped responding to my inquiries.

This company is an absolute scam and should be rated as such.

As indicated in the original's complaint, the draft provided by CareerPro is absolutely useless! There are typos and the information is inaccurate. I have informed *** of this and he did not respond to my emails hence my escalation to filing a formal complaint.

This company is a scam and should be noted as such in your system.

paid for him to do my resume and the only thing he did quickly was cash my check before I made it home from his office. He is a CROOK! I went into ***'s office on July 30th to speak with him about redoing my resume. He quoted me for a 25 brochure resumes, cover letters, thank you letters and all revisions and updates to resumes free of charge until I found a position. As I stated he cashed my check that day-he refused to take a credit card which is the first red flag. I receive an email from another girl asking me a bunch of questions b/c she is the one that really writes the resume. And he sends back the resume-which had errors on it and you are supposed to fix the errors and send back. I sent it back and he doesn't respond AT ALL! I call him and he doesn't return the call-I email and he doesn't respond to email. He is extremely unprofessional, arrogant, pompous and rude! Those are the nicest things I can say about him. I called him after not hearing back via email requesting the copies of my resume and other items, only for him to tell me he is in NY until Thursday and I can pick them up then. I told him that I asked for them by Tuesday. He was again pompous and rude acting as if my request was unreasonable. I explained that I needed them for an actual interview on Thursday A.M. and he proceeded to act as if I was bothering him. I told him that I would be in his office on Thursday afternoon for a refund. He is a sorry excuse for a business man. He lacks any form of integrity. My bank told me to take him to small claims court. I will be contacting an attorney and moving forward with legal action if the Revdex.com is unable to help me recoup my money for the service he didn't provide.

Dear Revdex.com, Thank you for allowing CareerPro to respond to the above complaint. While I have personally established long-term positive working relationships while helping over 20,000 clients improve their income with award winning resumes, every once in a while an unscrupulous individual will attempt Theft of Service. Unfortunately, this is one of those rare occasions.

My business is very simple. Clients come in for a free consultation, and if they like what they see, they can chose to hire us, which is what the client chose to do on 7/30/18. We gave her a significant discount, as she wanted the fancier package, she paid for it, and we delivered her first draft just a couple of days later, in half the normal turnaround time, on 8/2/18. On 8/3/18 the client wrote in an email, "This looks really good - please change the email address, I will print it out and take another look. A few days later she said that she was completely happy with the final version, and asked when she could pick up her copies. She already now owned the electronic version, and could have printed out copies on her own, but had ordered a fancier brochure. At this point, she had 95% of what she paid for.
On 8/8/18 she wrote "Thanks let me know when I can pick up hard copies." On 8/8/18 I immediately replied "Whenever you'd like. Just call first. Thanks, ***."

We never heard back from client until over two weeks later, Tuesday, Aug 21, as I was on vacation with a friend and his 12 year old daughter in the car. Client called and rudely demanded that I have her copies ready the following day. When I told her I'd be back on Thursday, she said, "That's not good enough!" At this point, the other two people in the car and I were a little taken aback. I told client that I would be happy to meet her at 10 pm on Wednesday, so that she could meet her Thursday am deadline. I said that I would be happy to do that for her. She then got more belligerent, and told me that I don't have to do anything special for her, I just have to do my job. At this point the 12 year old's mouth dropped open, and I became a little uncomfortable. I told the client that if she didn't want to meet me at 10 pm, just email me the final version that I would print out at ten pm and leave for her to pick up on Thursday am en route to her interview. She then told me that I was arrogant, and that she would meet me on Thursday with her attorney, to get a refund on the resume that she had already accepted and used to presumably get the interview! Unconscionable! And unacceptable behavior towards a professional that treated her with respect, did his job on time and according to her stated 100% satisfaction! - ***, President, CareerPro Resumes

*** recevied 2 different calls from me, which did not get returned. I travel for work and was not able to get to him on the 8th, hence why I contacted him again via email requesting that he have them avaialable for me on Tuesday the 21st. He did not respond to my email or call me. That is when he received the call from me and he was far from professional. I am sure you have seen from the other reviews how rude he is to clients. And it doesn't matter how many clients he has had - you don't mistreat anyone spending money with you. He did not give me what I paid for and I never said I was 100% satisfied. Who in their right mind would when they didn't get the product they paid for? I called and emailed asking for the product and have yet to receive it. He needs to refund my money immediately.

Jody and his team are spot on creators/advisors of resumes and other important career materials. They work with you at your pace. I consider that vital as some companies can't manage their own time. The team has experience in multiple industries so there is no breakdown of terminology in their content. These two things were important to me and Jody and team came through.

Jody G and his team @ Career Pro performed an outstanding job creating my resume and cover letter. They took my 16 years old resume and reformatted it to a very professional resume even using keywords and phrases recruiter are searching for. Jody was extremely efficient in completing my resume. Looking for Mid or Senior level position let the team at Career Pro Atlanta write your resume! Exceptional service.

Horrible!!!! absolute fraud!
Please do not waste your time and money. Jodi is very unprofessional, has a nasty attitude and he wants you to do all the work. It took him a month to get my resume finished. I can't believe he is still in business.

This client received her resume, at a significant discount which she did not mention, on time and according to her specifications which she made corrections to and resent to us for further editing. We merely asked her to remove the lines in her edited cover letter which she had lined through to eliminate, as that makes for easier editing on our end. She told us to forget it, and she said she was do the update. I said OK, and I reminded her to call me and keep me posted on her progress in the job hunt, and offered to do additional changes or corrections for her for free of course, and she emailed us back saying there would be no further work needed on her resume, which she was pleased with minus the corrections that everyone makes to the first draft. That was the last time my writing team and I heard from this client, until this post appeared. We are more than happy to help her in any way that she would like, we enjoyed our meeting with her, we were happy to be able to work with her budget, and so was she.
