Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I have issues with the response I wasn't really given an option for the day cancelation I was just told to sign it Regardless, I wasn't able to take the car off the lot until I provided proof that I was shipping the vehicle out to Hawaii which didn't happen until over a week of purchase since I had to set that up and it took time I wouldn't have been able to have it inspected within that timeframe to warrant cancellation When I asked to have the vehicle inspected they told me they would only allow for the vehicle to be inspected at a shop near the dealership, so I would have to wait to take it until I provided proof of shipping the vehicle out When we talked about warranty, they could not guarantee that I would be able to have service on the Big Island in Hawaii, so I couldn't purchase a warranty especially for ~$if I wasn't sure I was going to be able to use it That would be throwing away money Sincerely, [redacted]

offered a day cancellation contract which he also declinedMany customers opt for this option in order to have the vehicle inspected before finally committingAlthough all our vehicles are carefully inspected a vehicle at this age and mileage can be unpredictable and may require maintenance and or repairs shortly after the saleHaving said that we do offer any customers experiencing difficulties to bring back the vehicle to our repair shop in San Leandro for an inspection and repairs at a significant discount** *** advised us he had already shipped the vehicle to HawaiiHe emailed us a repair bill for over $demanding reimbursementWe informed ** *** we do not have a program for free repairs or reimbursement for repairsAt no point during the initial sale was ** *** promised we would cover repair cost that may ariseWe are sympathetic to ** *** ordeal however we hope he and the Revdex.com understands used cars are sold as is with no warranty and consumers are ultimately solely responsible for any issues or repairs that may arise

#is not entirely accurate I had no choice but to decline the extended warranty because there were no guarantees that they could service my vehicle under the extended warranty in hawaii I asked specifically about that and no one could guarantee me that I would be covered It was an additional $which did not make sens to pay for something which had no guarantees that it would be honored.Sincerely,*** ***

We are sorry to hear about our customers delay in her warranty refundThe warranties we sell are through a third partyCancellation of these warranties are the sole responsibility of our customersWe have no control in the timing of the refundHowever, we have confirmed with the warranty company
that they refund is in process and the customer should be receiving her pro rated refund amount soon

Once again we regret [redacted] experienced problems months after his purchase. The simple fact of the matter is our hands are tied due to 1) The vehicle was taken out of state eliminating the option to take it to our shop for inspection and 2) [redacted] declined a extended warranty that would have protected him the months even years after purchase. Once again [redacted] was not lied to or mislead he acknowledged the risk by signing our Buyers Guide.

I have 3 issues with the response.  1.  I wasn't really given an option for the 2 day cancelation.  I was just told to sign it.  Regardless, I wasn't able to take the car off the lot until I provided proof that I was shipping the vehicle out to Hawaii which didn't happen until over a week of purchase since I had to set that up and it took time.  I wouldn't have been able to have it inspected within that timeframe to warrant cancellation. 2.  When I asked to have the vehicle inspected they told me they would only allow for the vehicle to be inspected at a shop near the dealership, so I would have to wait to take it until I provided proof of shipping the vehicle out.  3.  When we talked about warranty, they could not guarantee that I would be able to have service on the Big Island in Hawaii, so I couldn't purchase a warranty especially for ~$1500 if I wasn't sure I was going to be able to use it.  That would be throwing away money.
