Mr [redacted] initially registered on August 18, for CareerAcademy’s annual membershipThis membership provides members with unlimited online access to various certification trainingsAll members access their training through their account via the internetThe charge made against Mr***’s account on August 18, was the annual renewal fee authorized by Mr [redacted] at the time of registrationDuring the membership sign up process, Mr [redacted] accepted CareerAcademy’s Terms of Use agreement where he was informed about the auto renewal feature of our annual membershipPlease refer to the attached copy of the Terms of Use AgreementAll new users must accept the agreement before being approved for membershipUpon completion of the annual membership fee payment, Mr [redacted] received an email notifying him of the successful membership fee being processed and that his account was now activatedThis email also included reference to when the account would be automatically renewedIn addition to accepting our Terms of Use at the time of registration and receiving an email notification with the auto renewal date, CareerAcademy’s Terms of Use is also available on all invoices and posted on our website under the Frequently Asked Questions page ( [redacted] )On the Frequently Asked Questions page, it states clearly how to cancel all memberships and auto-renewal chargesFor all of the reasons listed above, CareerAcademy has fulfilled its obligation of informing all customers of the auto renewal charge

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] So careeracademy does not want to remind their clients of the renewal date, nor they want to refund those who are not using the service and forgot the yearly auto-renewal? Regards, [redacted]

All of our customers receive an email notification upon approval of their initial membership sign upIn this email, it states clearly the date the membership is set to auto renewCareerAcademy implemented this auto renewal feature to avoid any disruption to our members' trainingThe auto renewal is not forced onto any member's account as all members are free to cancel the auto renewal at any time within the membership active period.CareerAcademy stands by our Terms of Use agreement that all members need to read and accept before their membership accounts are approvedCancellation process is also available on our website under the FAQ page

All customers receive an email notification upon approval of their initial membership sign upIn this email, it states clearly the date the membership is set to auto renewThe auto renewal is not forced onto any of our membersAll members are free to cancel the auto renewal at any time within the membership active periodRenewal membership fees are non-refundable once they have been processedThis is clearly stated in our Terms of Use agreement

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] The main issue isn't that customers inadvertently accepted a forced acceptance of auto-renewal and was only informed ONLY in the fine-print of "terms of usage" that nobody reads (no email warning of auto-renewal was sent, unlike what was claimed by business); the MAIN issue is why won't the business issue a refund for the forced membership when the customer doesn't want it? This is wrong and unethical! Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] I don't think it is a rare practice for careeracademy to send a reminder email to their subscribers to remind them with their expiry and renewal date closer to the annals renewal date, yet they don't! Most of the other reputable businesses provide that service to ensure high client satisfaction and justify the value of their renewal fees to the clientsIn my case, I didnt use the service much in the first year nor will I use in the second year, hence a renewal is not of any benefit to meIf careeracademy are unable to set a reminder email notification in their systems, at least they could issue refunds to those who don't need their service anymore while they got charged, makes sense? Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted] Please add your rejection comments below I have reported you to Revdex.com CareerAcademy is not a better business It is bottom of the barrel There is no excuse to enforce an unfair contract at the expense of poor customer treatment There is NO excuse not to refund someone their money if they have not used the product or service Your website does NOT say you will enforce auto-renewal for the annual plan on the first page where you select what type of plan you want, even though it is stated clearly on the monthly plan Why do you state auto-renewal on the monthly plan, but do not state it on the annual plan but instead choose to bury it in the fine-print of the "terms of usage" which everybody knows few people read? Then when you forcibly auto-renew and people complain, you prefer to enforce the contract rather than do the decent thing and make your customer happy and refund their money? That is NOT a "better business" - that is a lousy businessStop copying and pasting your worthless "too bad so sad you should have read the terms and conditions fine-print" as your lame excuse Do the right thing and refund money for services NOT rendered If you want to continue to anger customers over the $fee "because contract", just watch how much more damage they can do to your reputation Regards, [redacted] ***
