I called the Carefirst customer service to request a copy of form in order to file my state tax returnThey first told me that they do not have my form - they must have lost it and will send over as soon as they find itI did not hear backI called again and they said they will generate a new form for meI then called to expedite the process, and they told me that my health plan does not have a 1099, and I do not need a form to file tax - 1095c form would be enoughThen I called my tax agent to confirm if this was true, turns out it isn'tform is required for tax return
So basically the customer service agents at Carefirst told me a different story every time I called - first that they couldn't find my 1099, then that my plan doesn't have a at the first place, and after I have several times they told me is not even needed for tax return purposes, but the fact is they are not tax experts at all
