Dear *** ***: We are responding to the complaint about our business and service provided on 6/26/to Jacquelyn RG***. I first would like to explain what my company is and does. Careful Movers,
Incis a senior transition company that specializes in the downsizing of mature adults from one home to another in addition to packing, cleaning, and estate sales. We service the independent and assisted living communities in and around the San Antonio area and have been in business for over years. We are licensed and bonded and built our name based on empathy and compassion for those who are starting a new journey in their lives. In that short time we have become the premier and exclusive moving company for many of these facilities because of our extensive background checks with our employees, commitment to satisfaction, and our ability to manage under difficult situations. Specifically addressing MsG***’ move, when we schedule moves regardless of where they are located, we have a minimum hour booking and she was made aware in advance Our men were there and started at 9am and completed by 11:45am. She was charged for hours at $per hour with our standard truck and two men. When we booked the move she informed us that she had a king bed with headboard, dresser with mirror, small dresser, love seat, sofa, TV stand, 2-42” TVs, dinette table with chairs, small china cabinet, 10-boxes, and a washer and dryer and will be moving to another apartment in the same complex. We were informed that she does not want the plastic wrap for her goods and will do most of the packing. We took blankets, dollies, and tools to take the bed apart and disconnect and reconnect the washer and dryer and additional crates When our men arrived MsG*** had cleared an area in the parking lot to have the men park the truck, unfortunately the location she chose would not accommodate the ramp and we had to adjust for loading and unloading. In regard to one of the movers cursing when he” bumped furniture” we truly apologize for his language. He reported that he hurt his finger and thought he was along in the room and did curse aloud and that is not acceptable and has been reprimanded In regard to the china cabinet that had glass inside and was broken, she told the men she had removed all the internal glass and to take as is. The men wrapped the outside of the cabinet with plastic wrap to prevent the doors from opening and did not charge her for that and she told the men that she must have left one of the glass inside the cabinet so when the men put the cabinet down it broke. Our protocol is to remove and wrap all glass inside so if she had made us aware in advance we would have followed our guidelines and would have taken responsibility. We believe and stand by our workers that the amount of furnishing and the time allotted to take apart, disconnect, reconnect and assemble these items was accurate. We by no means are attempting to take advantage of anyone in this situation and in the years we have been in business we have had complaintsWe understand that there are times that items may be damaged but we make every attempt to remedy those few occurrences. When MsG*** contacted the office she had requested that we reimburse her for the entire move and glass that she packed. Communication stopped when she threatened to contact an attorney and suit and we told her we would respond to her attorney. time ago about the damage to your wall. the last contact we had was a request to you to please gather the paint you have on your wall so we can repair the damage and repaint with the exact color and then we never heard back. I am glad that we have you on the schedule this week for the repair. Yes, our movers are consistent with their time so as to lessen the expense for our client and there are minimal occasions when accidents happen and we make ever attempt to repair our mistakes. I am rejecting this response because:  The information is totally untrue
I never asked them to refund my money entirely, that is a lie secondly The area I saved for them was very accommodating n I have several witnesses n also these witnesses will verify that they did not get to my apartment till 9:13 am n by the time he parked his truck was almost 20 mins after so yes he is lying I am a Christian older women I don't even care If they don't refund me but I do want this complaint published to let others aware of their lies n their behavior towards older people n stop taking Advantage n abusing time not being used appropriately..  I will never use or call this company again. Someday they will learn not to take advantage of us seniors...I Thank you for your help Revdex.com

We received the letter regarding our recent complaint. We wanted to respond accordingly which required us to speak to our staff and movers. We had our Senior Advocate contact our client to review her issues and view the floor damage. She went out and visited with the client and discussed any...

concerns. We were informed that the tear to the mattress cover was replaced at the store purchased for free and we assured the client that the ripple in the floor will be managed by us and the community administrator. I understand that the complaint will be retracted by the client and there are no other concerns. We understand that an email was sent to us through our website however, we have searched our files and cannot find it but have given our client our senior advocates direct contact number.
