We are in receipt of your correspondence of December 20, 2017 regarding [redacted]'s complaint. I have researched our claim file and would like to respond to that complaint. [redacted] took his vehicle to [redacted] Chevrolet on 12/04/2017 with a rough idle and an "service engine soon" light on. The...
dealer diagnosed the failure to be a cracked exhaust manifold. They reported that there were no broken bolts. We approved the claim in the amount of $1152.23 to replace the manifold. Apparently as [redacted] states in his complaint, the technician broke two of the bolts when he was removing the manifold. [redacted]'s contract specifically states that there is no coverage for nuts, bolts or fasteners. For your information, this is the second claim that has been paid on his contract. 11/15/2017 we paid $2245.01 to replace the timing chain on his vehicle.
