Date: Mon, May 8, 2017 at 3:28 PMSubject: RE: [redacted] Complaint ([redacted])To: [redacted] <[redacted]@myRevdex.com.org>[redacted], Here is the response to the complaint [redacted]: Customer did not reach out to CCDC initially but instead wrote a review on social media re: her...

complaints.CCDC contacted her once we saw the review in order to address her concerns/complaints. 1.      -Prior to final payment of all outstanding balances, customer requested an adjustment in the bill pertaining to empty boxes initially purchased from CCDC for her use. Upon review of the charges, an empty unused box was returned to CCDC and was removed from the bill. Customer then agreed on the adjusted balance and made her payment accordingly. CCDC offered a courtesy discount prior to receiving the final payment.(invoices attached)2.       Customer informed us of specific missing items. She mentioned missing toilet paper(described in detail that this item was expensive to purchase at the destination, hence the reason for her shipping it in bulk). Caribbean Cargo agreed to replace the toilet paper. 3.      Customer also mentioned that screws for a piece of furniture that was dismantled were missing. During the cargo pick up, while at the customer’s residence a friend of the customer actually disassembled the furniture piece on behalf of the customer before it was removed from the home. This item was not disassembled by a CCDC staff member. When the customer mentioned the missing screws, the manager overseeing the job reminded her of what took place during cargo pick up. Customer stated she had no recollection of that. Essentially CCDC also offered to replace the missing screws and asked the customer to send details on what type/size screws to purchase as a replacement. The customer did not send any supporting information in order for CCDC to proceed.4.      The fourth item that the customer reported missing was a glass shelf. While in conversation, we asked her to send us the dimensions of the missing glass shelf. CCDC agreed to replace this item as well. To this date, Ms. Carrillo still has not sent the necessary information we requested and has become uncooperative. -CCDC took all of the necessary steps to address the complaint of the four missing items. We purchased and resent the toilet paper However, Once it arrived at the destination, the customer refused it and instructed the agent to stop contacting her. Our local agent informed us accordingly. To date, this customer has still not sent the required specs for the replacement of the Glass shelf and Furniture screws. -Prior to the cargo pick up and shipment, the customer requested and  purchased a large shipping crate (7X7X4) this was to be used to consolidate and ship her goods/ loose items. Although her goods were removed from her home in boxes(under her supervision) she was advised that CCDC would consolidate her PE & HHGS by packing the goods in the crate. The customer agreed to this as this was the most cost effective and safest way to transport her good. Notwithstanding that she purchase a crate to do the same. Please see the invoice attached in the above attachment to support the statements made by CCDC. L. Ansel H[redacted]

Review: on the 26th of august 2013 I paid Caribbean cargo dc to ship my car from Washington dc to Trinidad ,I paid a $2900 freight fee +$150 vehicle loading and securing +$150 customs inspection fee, when my car arrived in the island I was advised that the trunk was not closing , I advised [redacted] from Caribbean cardo dc of the issue he said he would look into it , I have sent them two emails , I have not heard back from their company , I advised the agent in Trinidad who told me I would have to contact Caribbean cargo in dc since they are the ones who loaded the car ,and failed to secure it , due to the damage to the trunk lid . I dropped off a perfectly functioning 2002 Mercedes Benz s 500 and received a car with a damaged trunk lid which does not close now .Desired Settlement: would like them to own up to the fact that they failed to secure my car in a container with other good and that due to their negligence my car was damaged and they need to pay for the damages

**. [redacted],

This is a response to the complaint submitted on 10/14/2013 at 3:10pm with assigned ID #: [redacted]. I will enumerate the facts as I know them:

1. On 26th August 2013, [redacted] secured the services of Caribbean Cargo DC to ship his vehicle to [redacted], Trinidad as LCL freight from our warehouse location in [redacted] MD [redacted]. The said vehicle being described as a 2000 Mercedes Benz S 500.

2. The offer was made to **. [redacted] as is customary to purchase marine insurance and he declined the offer. No insurance was bought.

3. The vehicle arrived in Trinidad in a consolidated load i.e. with other cargo in the said container on 1st October 2013.

4. The handling agents observed the unstuffing of the container by the Port Authority of Trinidad & Tobago showing no noticeable damages.

5. There were items transported in the trunk of his vehicle placed in there by **. [redacted] which was subject to customs inspection. As a result the trunk had to be opened by the customs for examination of those items.

6. It was then noted that the trunk was not sealing when shut.

7. **. [redacted] called and lodged his complaint. My response was to give me time to do my investigation about his complaint.

8. I kept him informed about my findings by phone.

9. On 24th October 2013, I communicated by email with **. [redacted], basically telling him of my conclusions, and making a good faith offer to assist him with the cost of the repairs. Also noting that CCDC is not responsible for those damages and that he did not purchase insurance.

10. I have not heard from **. [redacted] after that correspondence.

I am available for any further communication on this matter.

[redacted],

Please see a response made to **. [redacted] on 24th October 2013
