quoted one price and charged 125 dollars more than what I was quotedi had my vehichle towed by police who called coriddi auto . I asked what the tow was going to cost me as of the next day and they said it would be 140 dollars. the owner was with the driver when he (the owner) quoted me that price. I was not told I was going to charged two days storage and 95 dollars for that night and 95 the next day . my fiance was over charged last year for a similar issue. the drivers and the owner are giving false prices and then their office is charging something completely different. I had to borrow the extra money and then more ontop of the 140. I think the communication between owner and shop is not there and I feel like I have been scammed . I showed up to the shop to pre pay for the tow and they had a hrd time making change, 5 bucks! they are a cash only business and yet they never seem to have cash for change or a register. seems odd. I would like an investigation an some answersDesired Settlementi just want the extra 115 dollars that I feel was over charged seeing as the owner told me 140Business Response With Regards to the above complaint for a Police ordered tow in the city of North Adams, MA. Mr. [redacted] vehicle was ordered towed by the police , I arrived on scene and was told to remove the vehicle by the officer in charge, Mr. [redacted] approached me at the scene about his vehicle and asked me where the vehicle was going, I explained that it was going to our storage lot. I explained that all police tows go there until the bill was settled, he asked me if I could tow it somewhere else. I did say yes and told him the bill would be 140.00 in cash and it had to be paid now. he said he did not have the money , so the police told me to tow the vehicle from the scene, It was towed to the shop and unloaded, it sat at the shop Sat night Sunday and part of Monday , constituting 3 days storage, all police tow rates are set by the state of mass dept. of transportation threw the DTE office, the state set rate is 90.00 for the tow and 5.00 dollars fuel charge and 35.00 dollars a day for storage , so MR [redacted] was charged accordingly , 90.00 dollars for the tow 5.00 for the fuel charge, and only 2 of the 3 days storage , which totaled 165.00 dollars. Mr [redacted] on Monday then requested that we tow the vehicle to the Holiday inn parking lot on main street, Mr. [redacted] was charged 90.00 dollars for the 2nd tow and the fuel charge was waived . Mr. [redacted] was given a total of 40.00 dollars off the state set towing rates for the tow of his vehicle, As far as the 140.00 dollar rate quoted at the scene , if the vehicle had been towed from the scene to an agreed place with Mr. [redacted] and he paid cash on the spot it would have no longer been a police ordered tow and be come a private tow contract between us and Mr. [redacted]. To summarize Mr. [redacted] is not entitled to any refund at all Consumer Response

With regards to his claim that the Finance company told him that he could return the vehicle under the " LEMON LAW" this is a false statement what he was told was that he should consult his dealer to resolve his issues and that if they are not resolved he may have the ability to peruse a Lemon law claim if the vehicle fall into the guide lines set forth in the Mass state lemon law.Based on the current situation this vehicle does not fall between these guide lines.
