I visited this hospital in April 2015 for an outpatient knee surgery. They denied my patient right to have a support person present during the preparation for surgery. When I complained the nurse responded with "How would you like it if people came and watched you do your job?" That did not inspire confidence. They also did not follow proper procedures for informed consent for the anesthesia-- throwing a consent form at me after I was already undressed, without my glasses and in the staging room minutes from the surgery and not giving any explanation of what drugs would be used, possible side effects, or choices. Communication was terrible. I was given no information on the details of what would happen after I was unconscious. For example, I awoke with a completely green leg and had no idea why and my gown was hanging open-- didn't know whether it had been opened/taken off/etc or why. I thought I'd just had bad luck with my nurses, but as I talked to company "patient advocates" and management, I found it was a corporate culture. There is a profound lack of compassion or respect for their patients and their families. I will never use this hospital again.
