Caring Transitions of Mobile and Baldwin Counties Response • Mar 28, 2019

As I understand the client has multiple complaints. I wanted to respond with clear concrete information.

1. This was a hoarder home, every inch of the this home was filled with items, under beds, closets, corners etc..
2. We had to get a 20 x 20 tent in order to display the items appropriately.
3. we had a 5 day sale in order to sell as much as possible
4. Our hours were excesssive in order to process all items there.
5. we bundle items wherever possible.
6. our customers left the sale saying they were overwhelmed by so many items to look at.
7. Item amount and items will differ due to bundling and buy-out at the end of the sale as shared with client upon contract.
8. Yes the window covering was sold but I was not aware prior to not sell the curtain, which was only 1 in dining room, the realtor attended the sale every day but one and was there when it was sold.
9. The floor in the kitchen had many stains on it, it was swept clean as promised, we do not do deep cleaning as quoted in our contract.
I will need to scan the contract and labor to you, but cannot upload this moment as I am not in my office, I am out of town working. I will send contract and *** hours for the job to you within 10 days.
10. Labor is the primary reason for the discrepancy they are stating however it is impossible to determine when dealing with a hoarder home, I will give direct information regarding it to you. Please provide 10 days as the signed contract is not in my files, it is a paper file

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Caring Transitions toured the house with me and my sister, we explained every closet and cabinet was filled. We were assured this was not a major issue for this company prior to coming to an agreement on the contract.

Yes, Caring Transition request extra day for sale but all five days were never full 8 hour days. We were all so told that Caring Transitions gave out private information about the homeowners hoarding, which wasn't professional.

The floor was cleaned prior to us leaving yes there were stains left on the carpet under furniture but the kitchen floor is a tile floor it was dirty from the sales.

We were consulted about all items that Ms. White wasn't sure about the sale off however when I asked about the custom window covering in the dining room and bedroom I was told, it wasn't in the contract that they could not sale custom window covering.

We have asked repeatedly for an itemized price and payment method for items in the house especially the furniture and appliances. I would like to know how much per hour was paid for sale how many hours you pay for researching on items because if you bundle certain items I sure it was a guess or around about price. List of everything sold, items I know was in the house I could not find on the list.

I paid upfront one thousand dollars for shelves and stands to display, I was never asked if it was Ok to charge me for a tent.
Yes, I need an explanation for the major discrepancy in what Caring Transition gave us as the estimated cost of the job and the actual cost being much more without providing clear documentation of all transactions.
