Caring Transitions evaluation July 22, 2019
1. I knew the auction would start on the July 8 and that I would not be able to keep anything from the auction once it started. I thought I would be able to put things in or out until Friday, July 8, at 8:00 am. In reality, I was not able to do so on the 7th either because everything was already designated. Consequently, things were donated, put in the auction and disposed of, which I did not approve.
2. One item that I informed Stepha I wanted to stay with the house was the wooden bear that was chained to the front porch.
3. I remember letting you know more than once that my son would be moving back and nothing of his should be touched. When I saw that his bathroom had been cleaned out, and everything was still there in a bag, I informed you and Brad that the things were to be put back. Only a few things were retuned to the bathroom. Towels, toiletries, and everything else were not. When I informed you of this, you said that you would give me “a little” credit. That was not noted on the final invoice.
4. I was not informed when the items to be donated would be taken. Many things were either donated or trashed that I did not get the opportunity to decide on. I am missing boxes that contained the book written by my husband. When I asked you about them via text, I never received an answer. I was in the process of selling them for $10 each.
5. I had no idea that the starting bid in the auction would be only $1.00. I think that is outrageous. I never would have agreed to that. Many items were worth much more than the few dollars that they were sold for. The contract states that items would also be posted on Craig’s list and online outlets social media. That was not done as far as I know.
6. A “pickers sale” was not staged as far as I know.
7. The contract states that the actual charge for the movers would be $150 per hour X 3 men. That totaled $1062.50. Additional charges 0f $75 for “valuation,” (I don’t know what that mean
I received a call from Stephane M at Caring Transitions. He only apologized for my being dissatisfied. He offered no resolution. What happens now?
