We rented a property from Carino from July 2015-July When we did the initial walk-through of the house, it was absolutely filthy- the walls, the bathrooms, the laundry room, everything was very grossI was assured that the home would be professionally cleaned and walls freshly painted prior to our move in dateWe agreed to rent the propertyUpon receiving the keys, we noted the home had not been cleaned at all, nor had the walls been paintedIt was so bad that there was even a ton of urine caked on the bases of each of the toilets from previous tenantsThe dryer vent was completely clogged and was unusable until we dislodged all the packed in lintI could go on and onI immediately took photos and went down to Carino in person to complainThey admitted to never making sure the home was cleaned and offered me monetary compensation to clean it myselfIt took me over hours to get the home in even a remotely acceptable stateI was compensated $for my trouble Within a week of moving in, the kitchen ceiling began leaking waterTurns out the air conditioning unit was malfunctioning, and this flooded the entire hallway upstairs and dripped down through the ceilingIt took over a week to repairWe had buckets on the floor in the kitchen and on top of our fridge to catch all the water as well as fans to dry the upstairs carpeting and prevent mold Approximately one month before the end of our lease, Carino sent us a letter informing us they were raising our rentWe immediately notified them that we would not renew under those termsConveniently, their notice did not arrive until less than days before the end of our lease, meaning we were unable to provide days notice before the lease ended and were charged an extra month's rent for August (even though our lease ended July 31st)Scheduling the move out inspection was very difficult as it took weeks to get anyone to commit to a day/time, and once we did finally meet the inspector arrived completely unprepared and with none of the necessary paperwork When the inspection was completed, we were told they were keeping $for repairsWhen I contacted Carino to inquire as to why so much was withheld, I was told we left the home filthy, that the whole thing had to be repainted and re-cleaned, light bulbs replaced, and a screen door made/replacedI reminded Carino that the home was never painted prior to us moving in, we had hired professional cleaners to come in upon our move out and had made sure that had, in fact, been doneThe screen door they charged us for? That was never there when we moved inI argued with Carino, telling them there was never a screen door in the first place, so how was it right to charge us for a replacement of something that never existedAll they said was, "As far as we are concerned, the matter is closed." Carino ended up with over $2,more of our money than they should haveThere is no way the repairs needed should have come anywhere close to $Any painting that needed to be done upon our move out would be considered wear and tearThey are unethical, and I would absolutely not recommend anyone rent a property from them

Do not rent from Maria or Carino Properties. They are a classic bait and switch operation. We submitted an application for a property, told we had it, then told the next day the rent would be $250 more a month. Maria will play on your emotions in an attempt to get more $$$. Thankfully we declined to rent with them. Check out the reviews on BBB and Yelp before entering into any contractual obligation with Carino or you may be very sorry.

Worst company out there I would never rent from them again my walls leaked every rain storm and managment would never fix was paying rent and they had contable come and lock me out of my home and refused to let me get my stuff out im not the only one they did this to eather cops were in complex for drugs daily other tenets would drug deal right out front and sreal right of ur porch

Will never deal with this company again. They have completely taken of vantage of our military family. They would not give us a penny of our deposit back. We did everything that we were supposed to do, you had a $350 cleaning deposit up, and $250 pet deposit and a $1245 security deposit. They charged us for everything under the sun when we moved out. We paid $280 for our home to be cleaned, Carino properties told us that "it wasnt done well and had to be done again" So they kept out cleaning deposit and charged us for ANOTHER cleaning company to come and clean it. We were charged for a green pool, even though we had just replaced the water out of our own pocket the year prior and kept it clean. We gave a written 30 days notice to vacate, they said they didnt receive it until the 20th of the month, which was a lie. They charged us $790 for nail hole's, a battery for a smoke detector and light bulbs. Even though I had replaced ALL light bulbs that were blown out, I had no idea the battery was dead or I would have heard the beeping and replaced it. The nail holes couldn't have been more than a few which would have costed $5 to replace. They charge us thing's that were not even our's to be charged for. We will be filing charges for payment of rent when we were not even there, our pet deposit back, our cleaning deposit back, our security deposit back, plus payments on eletric that Carino never fixed even though we told them there was a problem for at least a year that we were there. We will be suing them for $5000 and we will be awarded that. Thank you!

We rented a property from Carino from July 2015-July 2016. When we did the initial walk-through of the house, it was absolutely filthy- the walls, the bathrooms, the laundry room, everything was very gross. I was assured that the home would be professionally cleaned and walls freshly painted prior to our move in date. We agreed to rent the property. Upon receiving the keys, we noted the home had not been cleaned at all, nor had the walls been painted. It was so bad that there was even a ton of urine caked on the bases of each of the 3 toilets from previous tenants. The dryer vent was completely clogged and was unusable until we dislodged all the packed in lint. I could go on and on. I immediately took photos and went down to Carino in person to complain. They admitted to never making sure the home was cleaned and offered me monetary compensation to clean it myself. It took me over 40 hours to get the home in even a remotely acceptable state. I was compensated $100 for my trouble.
Within a week of moving in, the kitchen ceiling began leaking water. Turns out the air conditioning unit was malfunctioning, and this flooded the entire hallway upstairs and dripped down through the ceiling. It took over a week to repair. We had buckets on the floor in the kitchen and on top of our fridge to catch all the water as well as fans to dry the upstairs carpeting and prevent mold.
Approximately one month before the end of our lease, Carino sent us a letter informing us they were raising our rent. We immediately notified them that we would not renew under those terms. Conveniently, their notice did not arrive until less than 30 days before the end of our lease, meaning we were unable to provide 30 days notice before the lease ended and were charged an extra month's rent for August 2016 (even though our lease ended July 31st). Scheduling the move out inspection was very difficult as it took weeks to get anyone to commit to a day/time, and once we did finally meet the inspector arrived completely unprepared and with none of the necessary paperwork.
When the inspection was completed, we were told they were keeping $650 for repairs. When I contacted Carino to inquire as to why so much was withheld, I was told we left the home filthy, that the whole thing had to be repainted and re-cleaned, light bulbs replaced, and a screen door made/replaced. I reminded Carino that the home was never painted prior to us moving in, we had hired professional cleaners to come in upon our move out and had made sure that had, in fact, been done. The screen door they charged us for? That was never there when we moved in. I argued with Carino, telling them there was never a screen door in the first place, so how was it right to charge us for a replacement of something that never existed. All they said was, "As far as we are concerned, the matter is closed."
Carino ended up with over $2,000 more of our money than they should have. There is no way the repairs needed should have come anywhere close to $650. Any painting that needed to be done upon our move out would be considered normal wear and tear. They are unethical, and I would absolutely not recommend anyone rent a property from them.

I submitted an application to Carino Properties for a home I was absolutely in love with. When we called, Maria told us she would let us know if there were any questions about the applications. However, two days later, we were informed someone else was given the home and our applications were never even reviewed although we submitted them first. I would never attempt to rent through this company again. They took my application fee money, didn't even review the application, and just never gave us a chance on our dream home. Unacceptable and shady.
