To whom it may concern:I received [redacted]'s email accusing me of trumped up charges on Friday evening, 4/8 @ 9:31pm.  On Monday morning, 4/11 @ 8:28am, I responded via email with the below wording. Only the Re agent's first name was removed from this, the copy & pasted email response to...

[redacted], [redacted]'s email:Hi [redacted],Thank you for your communication regarding my cleaning fees.  Upon receiving your voicemail, I submitted my invoice to Brad [redacted] which he then submitted to you. My detailed invoice should have answered your pricing questions.  Your concerns, as described in your email, regarding my pricing are explained below. The first thing I will address is the vacuuming. Vacuuming is something that is done on hard floors as well as carpet. We did vacuum all of your floors as they were in great need of vacuuming before the baseboards could be cleaned and before the floors could be mopped. Secondly, the kitchen cabinets were in great need of cleaning, followed by a dry wipe out. There were food stains, fingerprints and stuck on grease that we spent time removing from your kitchen cupboards. Underneath the cupboards (the under side, above the counters) were also riddled with food and grease that took time to remove. The refrigerator side of your refrigerator was in an ok condition but still required professional cleaning,  ie: removing and washing each shelf and side caddy, then drying. We then wiped out the inside, while empty, with both wet and dry towels,  and then replaced the shelves & caddy's. The freezer side was more dirty and was also cleaned in the same manner. The refrigerator was cleaned on the exterior top, front, back and both sides. It was also moved in order to clean the floor underneath and the walls behind.  Lastly, the vent on the bottom, in the front, was removed & cleaned & we vacuumed out the buildup behind the vent,  located under the front of the refrigerator. In regards to the bathrooms:There were a few scrape marks on a couple tiles above the soap dish in the hall bathroom that may be evidence of an attempt to remove the thick layer of soap sm.  Your effort there is proof that those showers required deep cleaning.  Both tubs and shower, tiled walls were scoured twice over and still required the scraping off of the brown soap sm, black mold and hard water build up around the fixtures (ie: faucet, handles & soap dish) The under side of the soap dishes had a very thick coat of soap sm on them. The sinks were in a similar condition and also required scouring plus scraping and the removal of build up inside the drains. The charges for your unit are not only accurate, but I lowered my times and removed the 2 trip fees to bring the total down some.  My fees were also discussed with Xxx [redacted] before invoicing as I was also surprised at the lengthy cleaning requirements there and made sure to explain to him the reasoning behind them.In the future,  I would suggest spending time periodically (weekly / bi-weekly) cleaning areas of your home to prevent thick build of of soap sm, hand prints, grease and food stains. I have copied Mr. [redacted] on this email as well.  Mr. [redacted] commented on the condition of the bathrooms after we cleaned them, saying they looked amazing.  It is unfortunate that your unit required the deep level of cleaning that it did.   We also removed food stains from the ceiling in various spots which was a bit unusual.  If you have any more questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.  I do stand by my prices and I have never "trumped up" charges, as you put it.  I am honest and work very hard to provide excellent service to my clients.  My clients know my work ethics and that I give more than I charge on a regular basis.  I understand you are upset, as the charges are higher than they had to have been, but please understand that I had to reschedule a very busy work week to return to your unit to finish all the scrubbing required.  It is also highly unusual for doors to require such timely cleaning on both sides as yours did. There is still evidence on the inside of the master closet doors of the type of stains found on both sides of all of your very tall, white doors. Thank you for your email. I do hope you have a better understanding of the cleaning requirements we were faced with at your unit and the related charges.[redacted] REPLIED on 4/11/16 @11:23am:Thank you for e-mailing explaing everything.  What really pissed me off is that second bathroom was never used so that was the shape it was when I moved in even after me scrubbing it. The cabinets on the inside were no better when I moved and in, also the stove had a white powdery substance that used to fall in my food when I first moved in.  So my main issue is the kind of perfection that you required for me to move out was not the perfect I had when I moved in. [redacted]I RESPONDED on 4/12/16 @3:44pm:You are welcome, [redacted].Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the condition of your home before you moved in, as your cleaning job was my first time ever being in your unit.  The hall bathroom is right next to the kitchen & front door, whereas the other bathroom is located past the living room and inside the master bedroom, past the closet area.  It is likely that you may not realize how often you actually used the hall bathroom during your stay there.  As well, one year's use of cupboards, especially the ones located around the stove, does produce debris, grease & fingerprint buildup.  At any rate, I do believe that my client had your unit professionally cleaned before you moved in.  As well, you should have been provided a Property Condition Form upon moving in.  If you noted these items on that form then that is something that you may be able to address with them.I hope this information is helpful to you and I wish you well in your current home.Aloha,[redacted]. You are welcome, [redacted].
Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the condition of your home before you moved in, as your cleaning job was my first time ever being in your unit.

Aloha,
