Best. Sales person. Ever.
Ok, my wife and I are expecting our first born. She's 35 weeks pregnant and we did a lot of research to find the best car for our needs. [redacted] ended up being that vehicle due to the extreme weather we get here in CT. Anyway, we tried various other dealerships and I'm sure you can relate when I say it was a terrible experience.
We stumbled upon CARite from [redacted]. I read a lot of reviews and thought "this place can't be this good", so I went to Revdex.com (yeah I'm proud I thought of it too) to check out their score: +A! That gave me some hope so we made the hour long trip, and thank GOD. It is how all dealerships should be. You drive into a big lot full of unlocked cars you can browse. We decided to go in and find the specific cars we saw online using their car chart. We found them and printed out their car history at the stations they had along with Carfax history reports. We then walked around and got in all the cars to explore inside and out. I should mention that they haven't been cleaned yet, but are totally presentable. Also, they clean it really well if you decide to buy.
Anyway, when we found the ones we wanted to test drive we simply went inside and asked for the keys. They drove up the cars and we test drove on and off the highways in the area (without supervision which was nice) before deciding maybe we'll actually buy one that day. Now keep in mind we weren't planning to actually buy that day, but the experience was so good we decided to just go for it. So we went to talk to Ashley B. who was AWESOME! We told her we had to travel out of town for a week so we liked the car, but we were hesitant to buy the car right then and there. Now let me be clear, we KNEW we wanted the car, but didn't want to lose a week of our 60 day warranty while we were out of town, so without us paying a down payment or anything she held the car for us until we got back. She jotted down our info, made sure all our concerns were taken care of (ie- replaced old tired with brand new tires, oil change, created an extra key (extra cost but they make them there and for much less than Honda dealers), found manual, a tire jack, started registration process, etc) so when we got back we only had to sign the paperwork, pay and leave with our new vehicle!!
Also Dave was incredibly patient when we expressed concern that the car had been in a accident. He told us that the problem w/ [redacted] reports is that it doesn't tell you the severity of an accident. Small fender bender is classified the same as having to change an entire front end. Since he worked in the body shop industry he took us around the car and taught us what to look for and why we didn't need to worry. He was incredibly thorough with his explanation (factory stickers all around the car were still intact letting us know nothing had to be replaced) and after going home I researched his explanation and he was being forthright. What stuck with me was what he said while he walk us back inside. "Now if you buy this car and come back and tell us it's a lemon, we'll replace the vehicle. One bad car experience is just not worth losing our great reputation. We want you to be happy".
That was an amazing experience, but here's how they proved it. 2 weeks after purchase during the blizzard (this was this past Wednesday) I woke up to a dead car battery, a wheel well noise and TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) error light flashing. Apparently while driving in the snow the previous day the snow warped the plastic. I ended up having to buy a new car battery which cost $130. We called Ashley and told her the issues and she told us to bring her the receipt and they'd reimburse us for the battery while they looked at the other issues. We did and within 1 hour everything was perfect.
Just do it. Buy from here. Promise you'll be glad you did.

I had the perfect car-buying experience in November 2014 with Carite in Windsor Locks CT!
There was no pressure from salespeople. You even test-drive the car without a salesman!
Every employee that I interacted with, was friendly and went above and beyond to make this a great experience. When the used car I wanted only came with one key fob, they even included a second key fob at no additional charge! And the used car I purchased came at a fabulous, no-haggle price. Even though Carite offers a 30 day warranty for everything, my family mechanic checked the car out and found no problems!
Since I recently learned about rating businesses on the Revdex.com, I wanted to thank Carite by making sure everyone knows how great they are! :)

Review: I brought a vehicle at Carite of Connecticut in South Windsor on 8/31/13.I contacted the bank to see when my payment was due. Come to find out I do not have a loan for the vehicle with the bank. I Called carite and the women who handles financing told me she went ahead and took the loan out with the bank that has the lowest APR which was [redacted]. I Contacted [redacted] and they told me they have me in the system but just a name no loan taken out with them. I believe this is fraud! The owner of Carite [redacted] is offering to take the car back after me having it for 5 weeks and give me a full refund of my cash I put down on the vehicle, he always was willing to dis guard all paper work that was done with them so that I can walk away free from all of this. I do not know any dealership willing to do such a thing. There is also no lien holder on the vechile since no loan was taken from the bank.Desired Settlement: I would like to know why I never received paper work from [redacted] Credit Union where I apparently took the loan out with.

Business

Response:

I, [redacted], have been in the automotive business for 45 years. Both in retail and the auction side. [redacted] purchased a [redacted] Civic, a loan was provided by [redacted] credit union for 2%. The customer wanted us to change it to a different credit union. We followed her wishes and loan came back at 11%. We had to go back to [redacted](speak to [redacted])..They reinstated the loan. Customer would not provide proper insurance to discount the loan. Customer wrote a bad review to internet advertising site. Customer wrote to CT MVD. Customer wrote to Revdex.com. Internet took down post ,MVD checked everything and found no wrong doing. I returned money to customer and picked up the car. I hope it is 45 more years before a customer I get a customer like this again. [redacted].
