Carizona Reviews (%countItem)

My cousin (I call her my niece) was needing a car to drive to work and to go shopping. She worked with a salesman (Anthony) at Carizona and found a *** she was interested in. She was told by the dealers salesman that it had "brand new" tires. When she inquired about taking the SUV to a private mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection the salesman told her that she really didn't need to do that as they have a mechanic on site and that the vehicle had already been inspected. She was assured by this salesman, who told her he understood her concern for her young children as he also had young children, and that this would be a reliable and safe car for her to use with her family transportation needs.
My niece (with my financial help) purchased the SUV on 7/12/20 and drove it home. As of today (7/15/20), she has put less than 50 miles on this vehicle. Today the "check engine" light came on. She took the *** into the local kia dealership who did an inspection on it. They came up with an $8000.00 list of things that were wrong with this vehicle including that it also needed new tires. I made a decision to put a credit card hold on the $6000.,00 payment I made on this vehicle until it could be determined what (if anything) the dealership would do to honor its' claim that the vehicle had been inspected and was in good running condition and that it had "brand new" tires.
in addition to my $6000.00, my neice had added a $1000.00 of her own hard earned money to fully pay the $7000.00 sales price of the vehicle. My neice works at a daycare center and has 2 very young children so money is very tight for her. $1000.00 to her is probably like $10,000 to most people.
My Niece took the *** back to Carizona and met with Lisa, the general manger for Carizona. She presented the list of items from the *** dealership to Lisa and I was put on speaker phone. Per Lisa, they would fix some of the problems but not all from the *** list. Per Lisa, they have been in business 17 years and do not sell "lemons" and are very customer focused. I told her I wanted to believe that was true. Per Lisa, she would need me to release the hold on the $6000.00 before she would provide any assurance of what would be repaired on the kia. She threatened to send this to the attorney general's office for action and used the term that I was extorting her. I told her I was not afraid of her threat. I told her this could all be resolved today and the hold released if she would provide me written evidence of what they would fix and in what timeframe they would do it. She refused to to put anything in writing until I release the hold and once more accused me of extorting her.. I told her I absolutely refused to release the credit card hold until we had assurances of what would be fixed. I expressed to her, if she was unwilling to put in writing what they would fix I believed she had no intent to fix anything. We reached a stalemate. She refused to allow my neice to take the vehicle with her. I asked Lisa to put in writing that she refused to allow my neice to take the vehicle with her but she has refused to do this as well. My neice is still out the $1000.00 she contributed to the purchase of this vehicle.
I pray that this dealership is honest and honors their claims about this vehicle. I will release the hold once I have written assurance of what they will fix. The fact that they refuse to provide this written assurance causes me to doubt their integrity. The fact that they wont even put in writing that they refused to allow my neice to take the vehicle today makes me question them even more.

I purchased a 2008 *** on May 23, 2020. Within two weeks, the air began blowing hot. I called and asked to speak to the salesperson and finance manager who I had dealt with. I was told to leave a message. I called back each week, never receiving a call back. Each time someone said they would leave them a message, but it was never returned. In the meantime, I took the vehicle to *** to access what the problem was. I was told it would cost $1200.00 to repair a broken compressor and broken and leaking hoses. They stated the car had obviously been sold to me that way. I told them not to fix it because I was going to call Carizona. I again called Carizona and someone referred me to the service department. They said it would be 2 weeks before I could get an appointment. They would look over the problem and if in fact it was damaged, they would make some calls. I took the car on Friday, July 3, 2020, and was met by Chris and his supervisor. The supervisor was extremely rude and acted as if I was lying. I showed him the paperwork from ***. He immediately stated it was not covered and they would look but they were not going to make any promises to fix anything. After several hours, we were contacted by the Service Manager, Cesar, who was very condescending, rude and unprofessional over the phone and in person. He stated the work did in fact need repairing, but that he would only pay half, which would be $475.00. I would have to pay $475.00 also. I told him I hadn't even made my first payment, I had come up with $2700.00 down payment and now he was telling me I was going to pay $475.00 for a repair that should have been fixed prior to selling the vehicle. He stated, "Then come pick up your car. We'll leave it out there for you." I went to Carizona to pick up my vehicle and was met by my original salesman. He was very upset this was happening to me (Isaac) and said he would try and get it figured out. As he turned around, Cesar was standing over him and dismissed him, and told us to go outside and get our car. On their website, it states they do "RIGOROUS" inspections, which is clearly not the case. This problem was present when they sold it to me and they were beyond unprofessional when assisting a customer. I will never purchase a vehicle from this establishment again. They are crooks and only treat you well prior to sale, but afterwards, they will not accept responsibility for the vehicles they sell that are in serious need of repair.

On March 6, 2020 I was contacted by sales representative (Angel) at Carizona in regards to getting a vehicle. We than made arrangements for me to come in & look at my options. March 7, 2020 I went into Carizona & met with Angel. I explained to Angel I would need to find a vehicle that’s no more than $300 a month (NO EXCEPTIONS) with a $1500 down payment. After browsing Angel showed me 2 different cars within my budget & she was able to get me into a 2013 *** with “130k miles”. After many long hours at the dealership we were able to finalize a contract for the 2013 *** payments being $230 a month financing a grand total $13,000. That same day I contacted ClearCover to obtain Full Coverage for this vehicle, I paid a $385 down payment to get this coverage started so I can drive off the lot. On March 12, 2020 I was contacted by Ginger from *** to verify some of the information that was on the finance application as well as verify mileage & to see how the vehicle was treating me. I explained to her that the check engine light had already came on & that the driver window would not roll back up & was giving me problems. In addition to that the mileage that was reported on the application was 130,000 miles but in reality what was on the odometer was 140,774 miles. Ginger than explained to me that the deliver-ship made an error & was going to have to correct THEIR mistake and print a correct contract. March 13,2020 I was was contacted by a very unprofessional customers service representative at Caziona by the name of Veronica. She stated that I needed to come in & signed The updated contract because the Vin number was printed incorrectly as well as the mileage. I explained to her that my schedule is not going to allow me to make it in because we were out of town for a wedding. March 17, 2020 Ginger from *** contacted me again to inform me they were not able to approve me for the vehicle through their finance company and that the dealership would have to run my application with another lender. March 23, 2020 I received a text message from the sales representative Angel advising me that I needed to come in so they can run my application with another lender I informed her that I would need to come in at 10:30 am March 25th due to childcare issue & pandemic. March 26 I was contacted by a gentleman named Louise advising me that they were able to get me approved with another lender but the catch was that the monthly payments were going to be $450 a month I explained to him that was way out of my budget and that I was not going to be able to take on this vehicle with that quoted monthly price especially when my first initial contract that I signed was for $230 a month.

For the last 2 weeks I have been trying to get in contact with Lisa so we can discuss my application as well as retrieve my $1500 down payment. She has been dodging my calls and every time I call she is not in the office and apparently no one else can assist me besides her. I have been documenting each call to Caziona and taking down each person I speak with.

Carizona Response • May 11, 2020

The customer signed the credit application stating that she was currently employed for 2.5 years. This was not accurate and caused the bank to pull the loan. When a customer causes a breach in contract with false information they forfeit the funds. Thank you for your time on this matter.

This car lot is a joke. I bought a car on Feb 29th. During the initial start up with a sales man, thr car blew white smoke out of the exhaust. The sales person told me it cleared and it was normal. After purchasing the car, I took it back due to the white smoke. They couldnt re-create the issue, so they replaced a valve. Three days later while I was driving down the freeway with my 4 year old in the car the roter fell off the driver side. Two lugs nuts broke in half and the other three were not attached properly. So I had it towed back. We'll it was ready to be picked up when the manager called and advised me that they have to replace the motor and I should pay 500 dollars. I have only had it for a week. The manager refuses to give me a refund

I was in need of a reliable car that had low mileage for an affordable price. I was a little apprehensive going to make a decision on a vehicle as this was my first one that I had purchased on my own but Devon and Corey made my sister-in-law and I feel comfortable right from the start. He worked with us and made sure that the deal that we were comfortable with went through. I would recommend Carizona to anyone who wants to buy vehicle.

Carizona was amazing to work with! Great selection of vehicles, Knowledgeable and friendly staff, and even with a pretty rough credit score I was driving off in a very nice used car same day!! Wonderful experience all around, if in doubt ask for Corey!!

Amazing service fast buying process very fair and informative will be recommending them to anyone who is needing a great vehicle!

I purchased a car here recently and had the best service ever! I was treated with respect and had some credit issues that were not a problem very fair will do more business with them in the future

The where nice and helpful I would buy again from them thanks again cory

Great customer service would definitely recommend, bought my first car from there

They are super nice and friendly easy to work with and I would buy again from them

Super flexible with pricing and very friendly staff, Cory has been great with everything. Have bought 2 cars from them. My avenger was great and the Honda Accord I got from them is super reliable. They even have a mechanic that does oil change as well at a good price.

They are very professional and had great deals on cars and trucks. That’s why I bought a truck from them.

The new ownership of carizona are not helpful at all. I bought a truck from this place about 10 years ago, so when I was looking for a new car or truck I came back. At first Justin and Frankie were super helpful, Frankie took me on a couple test drives and I picked the car I loved, I could not take it that day however because the passenger side window would not go up. Then once I drove it off the lot it stated to overheat so I again had to leave it to be fixed, about 3 months later my driver side window would not go up. After dealing with a very rude mechanic that laughed and just pushed it off as nothing, I asked to talk to the manager she took my info and called me the next day to let me know that since it was a different window I would have to pay for it. I asked about my warranty on the car she said she would look it up and call me . After not hearing from her and looking at all my paperwork I called back to conform my warranty. She would not even talk to me every time I called she was on the phone or with a customer I then called to talk to Justin and he was also with a customer ( I called 7 different times). Finally the person who answered the phone gave the number to the company who handles the warranty, I called they could not find my account so I re looked at my paper work and found the number to the correct company. When I went to get my car there wasn't ONE CUSTOMER IN THE OFFICE, and Justin was sitting at the front desk on his phone. It is just rude and unprofessional to not help a customer who is looking for information, I will continue to let people know to never go here!!!!

We are sorry you feel your experience was not what you expected. We did make repairs to your vehicle before and during the process of your purchase. Unfortunately, a window regulator breaking three months after your purchase is not something we can cover. We did offer to make the repair at our cost but you stated you wanted to go through your warranty company. At this point, they dictate the process of the repair. We pride ourselves on our customer service, and have for 15 years. Thank you for reaching out. We will continue to strive for total customer satisfaction.

It's not the fact that it broke or you wouldn't fix it, it was the way it was handled and the way you and your staff treated me.

On December 11, 2017 Carizona took a payment of $450 I authorized them to take out payments automatically since they have my card on file. When I first purchase the vehicle they had an employee name Larry he got my card information for autopay, I then let the employee know who I last spoke with to charge my card if I don’t answer on December 11 my car is bi-weekly. I left the country and I had the consented them to take my payment out, I come back from my trip to find my car not there, BUT I had a payment of $450 taken out on January 18, 2017 automatically. On Jan.22.2017 my car was repossessed, I called they said I was 41 days late but how? If they took a payment dec.11 and took another payment jan.18.2018 automatically and still picked up my car, my payments are $340 bi-weekly. I went to their office after my car was taken, Lisa told me she called me Jan.22.1018 early morning to let me know it was urgent to call back there was no call on jan.22.2018 I went to the office told them I’ll pay what I have to pay and even a month ahead to get my car back. She stated no they ran my credit before I got there to sell my loan to another bank without my permission. I asked to see the contract Lisa responded “No you should have it.” I told her I do but at home to let me see if here she threaten she will call the police if I didn’t leave I asked to speak to the owner she denied me to speak to him and threaten again she’s calling the police when all I wanted was my contract when she showed me the contract and I started reading it the owner finally showed up him and Lisa said if I was going to read the contract I needed to leave now because it’s their property and I’m trespassing. They then called me 3x Private after I left saying “did you find our website okay?” Threatening if I was to leave reviews on their. And she told me I have no option to pay the car off in 10 days. I owe less than what the car is worth I’ve paid them $16k upfront and 14k interest in the past almost2 year

January 25, 2018Re: Reply to complaint #***. To Whom It May Concern,MP Auto Sales LLC received complaint number *** filed by ***. Ms. purchased the 2014 Lexus IS Sport on June 14, 2016. Ms. started to become delinquent on the account in November. She was making sporadic payments and we were having difficulty getting a hold of her to see what was going on with the payments. She also had insufficient insurance when she was supposed to have a policy or be on a policy that carried comprehensive and collision coverage with a $500 deductible. She was no longer at the job listed and it was not looking good. We made several attempts to contact her to no avail. She was called November 6, 2017, November 8. 2017, with voice mails being left. November 21, 2017, to which she responded that she would make payment November 30, 2017. She did not make the payment. She was then contacted December 4, 2017, January 2, 2018, January 9, 2018 (two times), and finally January 22, 2018. The decision was made to repossess the vehicle on January 22, 2018. Ms. immediately called when the vehicle was repossessed. We explained that we had tried to reach her several times. She stated she was coming down to the dealership to discuss the issue. When Ms. arrived she was noticeably upset. We, again, attempted to explain the circumstances and choices she made that lead to the situation she currently found herself in. She was demanding her contract. She was asked to calm down. She kept telling her companion to “show us his badge” stating that he is a probation officer. He ended up exiting the building while she continued to act in an irrational manner. She demanded to speak to the owner. She was told that was not possible. Eventually she was given the contract and the owner did attempt to speak to her. Every time he attempted to communicate with her she held the contract up to her face as if she was studying it closely and ignored him while he attempted a resolution. She was told that if she was going to choose not to have a rational conversation that she would need to leave. He asked that she give him over night to figure out a solution. She demanded to know right now what the solution was going to be. She was then informed that the option would be a 10 day payoff for the full amount owed. She then exited the building. She resolved the issue by getting a secondary loan and paying the vehicle off. She continues to call and harass us and is trolling our website with negative reviews and libelous statements. Her desired settlement is quite an arbitrary request. We conduct our business is a professional manner and will continue to do so.We thank you for your time on this matter.Sincerely,MP Auto Sales LLC

Payments were made on the vechile I have not called to *** the buisness they called me private which I do have the call recorder I did call after I paid the vehicle off to get a transaction history Lisa neglected to give me the info she said she would call me back and she has not till this day I call and get excuses that she’s not in I do have those calls recorded too. I was upset but I did not go in yelling I have the right to my contract my payments were still being made every two weeks, I paid 20k upfront for this vehicle and was ahead on my payments I authorized for my payments to get taken out how they did do it automatically on jan.18 then picked up my car the 20th. I find that this dealership is trying to cover the issue, I did go on google to express my review on how I felt as the customer and treated I also put a complaint with AZDFI. I felt harassed with this dealer and threaten that I couldn’t go in with all my cash money there fore I had my old title loan place do a cashier check to pay them off because they called me threatening me about negative reviews I have witnesses and recorded calls. There was insurance on the vehicle full coverage as well on there. They also bathed me two storage fees when the declined to let me pay for my vechile the first day. They have my card saved on file therefore for them to take my payment out and go pick up my vechile was wrong, also declining to give me my contract was wrong they finally gave it to me after being told to leave because I was trespassing but I’m your customer and to this day they don’t want to give me my transaction history.

Carizona Response • May 09, 2018

Good Afternoon ***,The customer should have all of her records and records of transactions. Even so, the customer was given another copy of her contract and her transaction history. With regards to the repossession, the customer was not able to be contacted after several attempts, was behind on her payments and SHE, the only person listed on the contract, was not a covered driver on an insurance policy for the vehicle. She violated her contract causing the vehicle to be repossessed. We take her charges very seriously and feel that we have done everything possible to remedy the situation that the customer's actions dictated. Thank you for your time on this matter. I look forward hearing from you. Sincerely,Lissa Io

Lisa finally gave me my transaction history after several calls, the way she handle this matter was unprofessional. My payments were authorized to be taken out automatically. They still took my payment out and picked up my car two days after the payment. This business does not set proper expectations also the way they treat their customers is very unprofessional. Lisa is extremely rude, does not want to help assist. I feel like as a customer I struggled for months to get the papers I needed because I told them I would go with the Arizona department of financial institutions to file a complaint they finally got back at me.

purchased a vehicle from them back in July 7, 17, During the purchasing process salesman Cory advise us that they had put a "brand new" transmission in the vehicle and when we ask about the check engine light being on after we test drove the car he said it had to do with the battery. We had only had the vehicle for 2 weeks and it started shuttering. We took it for a oil change because we were not sure as to when the last one was done. We took it to the dealership and to our surprise no new transmission and $1981 dollars worth of repairs needed to be done as the bearings and gears were rotted. When I went in and made a payment towards the down payment ( which is illegal to do ) I brought it to Cory's attention he said he would speak to Troy the owner and get back, never heard anything . I then went back in on 09/1/17 to make another payment , brought invoice of repair charges gave it to Cory , advised I needed my plate and a copy of my contract, Cory stated "there is a brand new transmission logged into a repair screen to show me and said it was covered under warranty and he would speak to Troy and call me back to set up a time ". gave me my plate and wanted to know why I was requesting a copy of my contract? I stated its a legal binding contract and it was never given to by Alex - Manager , He provided a copy but failed to provide the signature copy he then said that was fine. He took a $300.00 payment and stated to wait to pay the remainder until they fixed the vehicle. The next time I heard from them was 45 days later regarding the outstanding amount. I called back ask for Cory he came to phone I said who I was , he said hold on and never came back. I began to become concerned about the entire transaction and did a little research regarding the owner of this business Mr Troy M and was shock to see what I had found regarding other business he had and how he operated ***, thus explaining the shadiness from the sales rep Cory. Be very careful when purchasing and if they have advise you to tell the finance company that you put your down payment down and you actually did a deferment of your down payment that is against the law.
