Ms [redacted] was a patient of Paige Primary Care Center (PPCC) formerly known as Carl DPaige, M.DPSC Dr [redacted] was a part time employed physician of PPCC The laboratory at PPCC was not owned or operated by PPCC PPCC only provided a space in the office (for free) that the lab could operate only as a convenience to patients All patients who chose to obtain laboratory services at the onsite lab were encouraged to make sure of their insurance coverage before choosing to utilize the lab PPCC did not at the time and never had billed or collected for laboratory services PPCC did not have any contracts with any laboratory companies regarding patient bills due to the lab Those services were strictly between the patient, the lab they chose to utilize and the patient’s insurance company Ms [redacted] has no outstanding bill with PPCC After a detailed review of our records regarding Ms [redacted] ’s contact with PPCC regarding physician visits and laboratory visits the following narrative was constructed Ms [redacted] was seen by Dr [redacted] on 08-26-and as the medical record indicates the labs in question were indeed ordered by Dr [redacted] Ms [redacted] is entitled by KY state law to one free copy of her records if she wishes to obtain and review them She would have also had the opportunity to obtain a visit summary at the time of her 08-26-trip to see Dr [redacted] which would have listed the labs in question that Dr [redacted] ordered At the time of the 08-26-visit Ms [redacted] scheduled an appointment to have lab tests drawn on 09-11- The only reasonable explanation we can discern as to why Ms [redacted] feels DrPaige ordered her tests is that the laboratory company in question may reference PPCC by its previous corporate identity of Carl DPaige, M.DPSC This is a corporate name and not the name of the provider physician who directly ordered her testingI understand Ms [redacted] ’s frustration with the medical billing and insurance process regarding this lab company that is now out of business I understand she did try to communicate with the office before filing her complaint Unfortunately PPCC at the time of her contact was transferring corporate ownership and management to a major corporate health system and follow up to her concerns was lost in the transfer of management I am disappointed that she chose to file an unfounded and inflammatory Revdex.com against PPCC especially since the record clearly documents that the laboratory in question was ordered directly by Dr [redacted] , not DrPaige, and this information was readily available to her before filing this complaint I want to reemphasize that she has no outstanding bill with PPCC and after the detailed information I have provided, I sincerely hope the Revdex.com will dismiss with prejudice this complaint against PPCC Sincerely, Carl DPaige, M.D
