Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The receipts McNeal's supplied from [redacted] show no kit was purchased with the compressor. ( please read the enclosed letter from [redacted] ***), without a kit [redacted] gives virtually no warranty, with a kit there is a 24K, 2 year warranty. The reason they insist on a kit is that compressors will fail without changing all necessary components and proper flush- (example my Windstar). After 2 weeks, I had to pay approximately $750 to have the work done again and pay for labor and a kit. Had it been past 30 days the cost would have been another $1,250. It seems I got a tail light warranty from a member of the B.B.B. who could be happy with this. There was no warranty terms written on McNeal's invoice. Members of the BBB should have higher standards. [redacted] gave me all the parts that were not changed by McNeal (and required by [redacted] including the muffler). we bought a complete ac kit from *** in Durango Colorado when vehicle left shop ac was working I tried to explain to customer that parts do fail but he is convinced it was installed incorrectly *** should of made it right with customer if customer wants I will fax copies of parts to him upon request thank you mike m***

Complaint #ID ***On July 11th I dropped off my Ford Windstar at McNeal’s Auto Center, as recommended by the *** *** We were with the *** on a *** *** *** and I picked it up the following Saturday night July 18th, I was a bit concerned because the only part that looked new was the compressor Having been in the air conditioning business for years I know that a kit including a muffler and orifice kit need to be replaced for a proper compressor change Two weeks later the cooling failed and I brought the car to *** *** and ***, they informed me the compressor was bad and that no kit was installed as required by *** and by all good practice I called McNeal’s Auto and they said that they had installed a kit and that *** *** was lying McNeal’s sent down the receipt for the compressor and the receipt showed that no kit had been purchased with the compressorSince no kit had been purchased the compressor had only a day warranty (is *** also lying)At this point the compressor had been purchased days prior and *** refused the warranty *** *** was able to pursued *** to warranty the compressor How can a company that caters to out of town customers put in a compressor improperly give no labor warranty and only a day parts warranty and charge way more than the going price a reputable company would charge for a compressor, kit and year nationwide warranty Please read the letter from *** *** about the poor workmanship that McNeal’s performed on my car The reason *** only gives a day warranty on compressors purchased without a kit is that they fail very quickly (example my Windstar) I was a contractor and part owner of *** *** *** until January 2015, in all those years we had only complaint with the Revdex.com and I resolved it immediately to the customer satisfaction I would have been very ashamed if one of my mechanics installed a compressor improperly and it failed in two weeks When I spoke to Mike at McNeal’s he said “We done it right” after the compressor was replaced by *** *** there was a lot of new aluminum tubing (the change out kit) and has been working great ever since It seems they did it right I hope you understand that I am very upset about the workmanship I received. Sincerely*** ***
