As we have previously stated, C. W. [redacted] Construction Inc., is not responsible for the material on the
glass door panels. We did clean the windows and glass door panels, inside and outside, the last day we
worked on the project. There was no damage of any kind on the glass.
The [redacted] thoroughly examined the entire project prior to our receiving the final payment.
I do not know why they are blaming our company for the problem. Our employees, [redacted] and
[redacted] will testify to the fact that they cleaned the glass door panels and there was no damage at
that time. This material on the panels was discovered a month after we left the project.
In the event you have additional questions, please feel free to contact us.

It is a shame that Mr. [redacted] is not taking ownership of the
damage that his crew (and/or his subcontractors) are responsible for.
Our expectations concerning good workmanship and adherence to the
contract are certainly no different from what would be expected for this type
of job.  C.W. [redacted]’s letterhead state’s
“Building our Reputation on Quality Work and Satisfied Customers”.  High standards from their customers should be
par for the course and expected.
Mr. [redacted] decided to bring up our request for replacement deck
screws yet he failed to mention why we asked for them.  Due to the deck boards not being spaced
properly (per contract), some of the finish decking materials needed to be
removed and then re-attached.  During
this process some of the screws were stripped and/or the color-matched coating
was removed.  Others were not seated
properly.  The bright screws were very
visible against the dark decking material and we asked that they be replaced.
Our intent was not to rehash issues we had with C.W. [redacted]
during the completion of this job.  The
reason for this complaint was specific to C.W.[redacted]’s refusal to be
accountable and take responsibility for the damage done to our [redacted] Sliding
Door.  We certainly did not cause the
damage.  The doors/windows were not
cleaned as stated by Mr. [redacted].  The pattern
of the metal spray clearly indicates there was no screen on the door during the
time the damage occurred and the Co installed the screen at the end of
the job (also note that re-bar was cut and used to hold concrete forms in
place).  (2) [redacted] representatives
evaluated the door and came to the same conclusion.  So it is clear to us where the responsibility
lies.  As a professional contractor who
supposedly builds his reputation on quality work and satisfied customers, Mr.
[redacted] has missed the mark this time.

Review: CW [redacted] has refused to replace a [redacted] 350 Sliding Glass door that was permanently damaged during construction. It is obvious that, before the screen door was put on during the final phase of construction, the door was half-opened and a building material (most likely hot spray from cutting metal) was accidentally sprayed onto the lower half of both sides of the sliding glass doors. This material was not removed and nicked the glasses in more than 100 places. We have had two separate [redacted] representatives come out to look at the door and both of them concluded that the damage would have had to have happened before the screen was installed, during construction. One of the representatives has seen this type of damage before due to hot metal spray while cutting rebar or metal during construction. Regardless of exactly what material caused the damage, both of them agree that it is ludicrous that [redacted] is claiming that it happened after the addition was completed. We did not discover these nicks in the glass until after we made final payment (7/10/14) since the glass was not clean upon inspection. [redacted], the owner, is denying that his company is responsible, saying they cleaned all the glass throughout the construction process as well as before the final inspection...none of which is true. All of the windows and door were filthy. However, regardless of the cleanliness of the glass, the only way that the splash pattern could have been left on the glass is during construction, before the screen was installed. It is unfortunate that once the final payment was made, [redacted] is no longer taking responsibility for his worker's mistake.Desired Settlement: [redacted] has agreed to a sum of $1052.60 to replace the glass panels on the sliding glass door (they are waiving installation charges). We would like [redacted] to pay this amount. He is refusing claiming that it was done AFTER construction...impossible.

Review: On or about the 11th of May 2015 we contracted with C.W. Carlson Construction to remodel our kitchen & move a powder room. It was to be a 60 day job which commenced on the 31st of August 2015. As of today there are several outstanding items that need completed. We are missing a finishing piece of cabinetry above our refrigerator, our pantry is unfinished (no shelving), a heat register in our bathroom needs to be moved so that we can open the vanity drawer, another vanity drawer is broken, we are missing a towel rack, brick work needs to be finished on the outside of the hom etc. This entire project has been incredibly disruptive to our entire family as we work from home and no schedule is ever communicated in advance. Days and days have gone by and no one shows up to work. Charles Carlson has been unresponsive to our repeated inquiries.Desired Settlement: We are requesting immediate completion of the contracted work. We are also seeking monetary compensation for the gross mismanagement of our project and cost we have incurred as a result.
