Carlson's Chimney

We called on Carlson, recommended by another chimney (cleaning) company, for a substantial and very complex repair project we unexpectedly had, and they were amazing! They worked us into their already very busy schedule when we communicated our urgent need of their services. They were timely, considerate, gracious and absolutely honest. They are extremely knowledgeable. They explained everything they were doing, why and what (where appropriate) the options were, and what it would cost depending on what we elected to do. And they charged only what they estimated and/or what we approved by change order. Though they had expected to do only some tuckpointing work on a part of one chimney, they wound up essentially having to rebuild the brickwork, and with great skill. They could have done -- and charged us for -- repairs on a second chimney that would just have to be redone when, in the next few years, we necessarily replace our boiler, but they recommended we wait, given what would be the necessary rework in the near future. They cleaned up, inside and outside, every day and accommodated our needs to be home/not home when they arrived and when they were working during the day. I can't possibly recommend them highly enough.

We had Carlson's Chimney repair our 1940's cape cod chimney. We had 4 different companies give us estimates, and we decided to go with Carlson's. During the estimate, Chris went up on the roof and took detailed photos of the chimney and explained what would need to be done. They replaced 15 rows of bricks plus any loose ones they found, installed a liner from our water heater through the chimney, poured a new concrete cap and replaced flues. They matched the bricks beautifully and did an excellent job! The men were very professional....showed up on time and cleaned up after themselves everyday. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of chimney repairs.
