Massage Envy CLEARLY took advantage of my lack of English skills....I don't read ANY English
When I was duped into signing a one year contract (lesson learned BTW) I was told it was only a form that everyone signs relating to the privacy and massage ethics regarding draping, etc. I was NOT told I was signing up for a one year contract. I knew I was moving away shortly and only wanted a couple of massages
When I complained formally and advised them I had moved to Buckingham, VA they cancelled my membership and advised me that massage sessions already paid for, and not used, were cancelled as well
So in addition to unscrupulous business practices they still owe me $as one massage session they cancelled because I moved away and cancelled my contract
Please ask them to refund my $they never returned

To Whom it may concern: Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We have refunded the client $($x month dues) and cancelled his membership effective Sept12, 2015. He still has time to use his remaining sessions, if he wishes. There seems to have
been some miscommunications over the time period he mentioned in his statement. Over that time period he has booked several appointments and cancelled them and we have no records of him requesting to cancel his membership or any documentation related there of. That said, we are happy to help and want to be sure we are doing the right thing if there were miscommunications were on our end. Really appreciate your giving us a headsup and many thanks for your continued support! *** ***Owner/FranchiseeMassage Envy-Charlottesville, VAMassage Envy-Manassas, VA

They still own me for a previous month where I paid and didn't get a massage....because I didn't know I was being charged.  I realize they refunded the June payment but it's a previous month payment that I am still owed.   They told me because I cancelled my membership they wouldn't refund...so they acknowledged that I paid them (I think it was either April or May 2014) and didn't get a massage but they are now refusing to refund me.

Hi [redacted],
No they haven't....they said that they had but as of today they still owe me $59.99 for one massage session that I never received because I was unaware at that time I had been charged.  They said that "since I had cancelled my membership any massage sessions still owed would be cancelled".
Bottom line, they still owe me $59.99

Review: In 2011 when I mobilized to deploy [redacted], I called from [redacted] to cancel. They required a copy of my orders to finalize the cancelation, but I had no means to complete this obligation. I absorbed all of those charges throughout my deployment (15 May 2011 - 14 Feb 2012).

I made several attempts to mitigate the cost while retaining the accumulated service options credited to my account throughout the years by filing two separate "freezes" for 6 months at a time.

14 April 2015 I called Massage Envy to cancel the services. I was notified I would be required to pay an additional month of service before cancellation was final. In order to finalize the cancellation, I was told I would be required to pay an additional month's subscription fee and receive no refund for the entirety of unused credits on my account; all services unrendered would not be refunded.

I have not needed their services since April, but have been charged as a willing member in spite of their records reflecting my position as unwilling and with intent to cancel. I filed a claim with my bank to block any further charges on my account they have been using to charge me against my wishes and was threatened with action to collect through third-party agencies.Desired Settlement: Repayment of May, June, and July 2015 charges between the months of April and August this year, and cancellation of my account totalling $162.00.

Review: I don't read English.I was told I was just signing a "permission to do a massage" form which is normal industry practice. Instead I was duped into signing a one (1) year contract with Massage Envy.I mistakenly trusted that [redacted]. (the massage envy sales person) just signed me up for one massage but I think she took advantage of my lack of English skills.Respectfully,[redacted]Desired Settlement: Because I cancelled the contract they also kept one $59.99 payment I made and was told they wouldn't give me the massage.I want a refund for $59.99 for the payment I made and no massage was given.
