Mr. [redacted] presented himself to my husband and I as a contractor of more than 30 years of business. My husband is a disabled Veteran. Mr. [redacted] stated that he would perform services underlined in our contract and agreement, he did not complete services agreed upon and overcharged for services not reddened or completed to the satisfaction of the customer as agreed upon. Mr. [redacted] took advantage of our lack of knowledge and our trust in his expertise. Mr. [redacted] also stated in our agreement that he would reimburse money due to many mistakes that he made due to some personal issues with medication while on the job. (This knowledge was acquired after the fact) Mr. [redacted] also stated that we did not require a permit for him and his crew to construct a movable storage building and an attached carport; which we found out later when the City of Goldsboro shut us down for not having the proper permits. We did ask for a reference, which a gentleman stated that this man did great services and he was satisfied. We are out of more than 10,000.00 due to misrepresentation from Mr. [redacted] I have since found out that he has done this to another person(s) as well Greenville, NC. This man should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for misrepresenting himself as a professional contractor. I have all reciepts that we paid to him and what we had to pay a NC licensed engineer required by the city before completing our project. I am highly disappointed that someone like this man is continuing to take people's hard earned money in the state of NC. He signed an agreement which he agreed to reiburse some of the money owed, which he also failed to contact us to resolve the matter by the date agreed upon.
