Review: Hello

My name is [redacted] and I brought a car from Carmaster's of Arlington Dec 1, 2013. Upon buying the car they charged me for tags and title work when I put down my down payment of 4,500. Since then, they have been giving me temporary tags because they have been saying the hard tags did not come as of it. When my last temp tag expired 8/24/14 I demanded hard plates. Since then the dealership has gone out of business and there is no way for me to get in contact with them nor hard or temp plates. I contacted [redacted] who I am financing the car through and they said they can not help me because they did not get all of the paperwork they needed before the dealership closed. I been paying a $457 car note every month for this car since December of 2013 and I can not drive the vehicle and I have been getting tickets from the police for non current display of tags. I do not know what to do.!!! The bank [redacted] said they do not have the title for the vehicle. Please, I need your help!!! Contact me via phone or email at ###-###-#### or [redacted].Desired Settlement: Refund of Cash or complete the transactions legit!

Review: The vehicle was purchased in December of 2012. Since then the staff has been unprofessional and has issued 5 temporary tags due to the inability to provide proper hard tags for the state of [redacted]. The owner of Car Masters told me that we will never get the plates and used profanity within the conversation. 2 calls have been made in the last 2 days to inquire about the status of plates for the vehicle with no return call. Service was provided to the vehicle and an additional $1000 was given to Car Masters to be applied towards financing and it has not been reflected through the finance company.Desired Settlement: I would like tags for the vehicle issued immediately and either a refund of the $1000 paid on 2/16/13 or that money to be applied towards the financing of the vehicle (with proof that this was done).

We would like to give **. [redacted] a refund for his purchase.

Review: I purchased a BMW 745I from Carmasters of Arlington on April 24 2013. I haven’t received my title nor tags and I’m on my third set of temporary tags. On the bill of sale it was noted that it were only 97k miles on the car but on the odometer it read 118k. Everytime I visited the dealership they would tell me that they would have my tags by next week but unfortunately they’ve been telling me that for the past two and a half months going on three. I received a letter from [redacted] notifying me that they haven't received the title from the dealer or me and noted that if they dont receive the title my interest rate would change to a higher end. I contacted the DMV police also and they said this company has had other comlaints besides my own.Desired Settlement: I just want some justice done about this issue.

Business

Response:

There were some legal problems with this title and our lawyer advised not to register the car until the issue was resolved. Sorry about waiting so long for your plates. The problem has been resolved now.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

I just received another letter from the credit union who financed stating that they still HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE TITLE OF THE VEHICLE. They have again earned me of raising my interest rate to the higher end. By no means am I satisfied for paying for a car where I nor the bank can obtain the title.

Business

Response:

Title number is [redacted]. Please check with DMV.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Review: I purchased my vehicle from Car Masters Of Arlington In January 2014 , It is now May 7 ,2014 and still haven't received the title for my car. They claimed to have sent it months ago and said that it came back to them in the mail. I am currently not able to go back to Virginia at the moment to see what the problem is so I got a power of attorney for a family member of mine can go pick it up as I was told by the owner. When she got there the owner said he would have his lawyer verify the letter. He told her to grab something to eat for a half an hour and he just have heard from his lawyer by then . When she got back he was gone , a sales man took down her address and said they would [redacted] the title . Now two weeks later still nothing. The temporary tags they gave me has been expired for 2 months , I haven't registered my car , I am paying for insurance for a car I haven't even driven in for months. They are very unprofessional. The car wouldn't even pass inspection when I first got it . To top it all off , they false advertised the car , online it said the vehicle was automatic when I got there it was manual ,Desired Settlement: I either want the title for my car sent to me immediately or a full refund amount of $1000 dollars

Review: I bought a 2003 [redacted] from a used car dealership named Car Masters of Arlington , the me broke down on me in two days after purchase leaving stranded for hours on the side of the road. I finally got the car towed to the [redacted] dealership to see what the problem was and it was due to engine malfunction that was scanned by the dealership which cause the car not to drive. I only had the car for 3weeks and only drove it once the dealership I bought the car from gave me a 30day or3,000 miles warranty on the powertrain, which includes the engine and transmission failure. The dealership I purchased the car from is now refusing to fix the issues leaving me to payable car note on a car that I can't drive. Also the dealership gave me false information on the mileage of the car. I got a loan threw the dealership with a 27%interest. I purchased the car for $7,000 and the car has a bad engine.Desired Settlement: I would like for the dealership car masters to fix the problem on my car. I took the car back to the dealership which they had it for 2weeks and claim the the problem was fix. Which in 1day in return of my car it broke down again it was same issues. I would like to take the car tea shop that I know that repairs these cars and have the dealership to pay for the repairs which it states on my warranty.

Review: I sold 2 vehicles to this dealership in July 2013 and the dealership has not yet paid off the auto loans on the vehicles that were sold.Desired Settlement: I would like for the dealership to pay off the auto loans on the vehicles that were sold.

Hello,

The silver CL was a trade in. We gave [redacted] a signed check to give to his bank because at his bank they fax over the payoff and I called them multiple times saying that I need a payoff but they never responded. That's why [redacted] was given a check. He then made the check out to some three or four last named company (if I am remembering correctly) for $13,000. I'm not sure where that money went... I can verify the name on the canceled check but it will take a few days to get it from my bank teller, but that money should have been paying for his CL payoff.

The black CL I have no paperwork on. It was not a trade in.

Also the H2 Hummer still has a balance of $17,979.00. Last payment received was on 9/17/12. This was supposted to be paid off by now as well.

Review: The dealership is falsifying documents & committing fraud. They are trying to make me commit to terms of contracts that are false and illegal. They are attempting to hold me into a contract with this Acura TL by putting anything that might sound good on paper for a inhouse financial company that they partner with. Ive been on paper tags longer than a month while they try to falsify something to get approval for vehicle financing. I gave money & a trade in & I want both back. I want absolutely nothing to do with them, that lot or the car they are attempting to force me into.Desired Settlement: I want my maxima back that I offered for trade in value & my $3000 that I deposited.

Business

Response:

What documents are you trying to say are false? Nobody forced you to sign a contract or any other paperwork. In fact I believe you came in more than one time to sign up. Perhaps that was the only car your credit would allow you to buy. Also I have 60 days to register your car in **. Your allowed to have 2 sets of temp tags. Thanks.

Review: I was beguiled into buying a car with issuesWhen I walked into the dealership I let it be know to the dealer that I was interested in getting financed for a [redacted]This is not actually a car dealership, they are guys who go to the auction and buy and seek cars as is, this was never made clear to me unitl after my money had already been takenFirst off I was told that the car had no issues and that It has passed VA state inspectionI payed my $on the day I went to the dealership because I thought it was an actual dealership that gets financing for its clients and sells respectable, inspected, good carsI did not leave with the car the day that I paid my money, I was told last minute that there was an issue that they wanted to resolve before giving me the car, so I was told to come back on that following mondayI thought that my money was only to hold the car and keep it from being sold between then and the time I would pick it upThey took my money and the car wasn't ready on that mondayAnother week and a day went by and I still did not get the car until the 18thWhen I picked the car up I didn't receive not one piece of paper work on the car, no carfax, no literature on the warranty they told me that was provided and nothing from the finance company, and no Va passing inspection sticker (there was however a rejection sticker on the front windshield)I returned the car on the 20th to the dealership because I had no paper work and the car clearly had a multitude of issuesI told the owner and the dealer that I did not want to finance a car with problems, thats why you finance a car so that you don't have issues to deal withHe told me that this is business and I paid for the car as isI expressed to him that I was under the impression that his dealership was an actual dealership not a place that sold as is carsThere is no advertisement on the website or on the dealership that state all cars including those financed are as is and may have issuesI also expressed to him that I wouldn't have even bothered with the car had I known that this place wasn't the type of dealership that I was interested inI was tricked, swindled and victimized by this dealershipI was told by the dealer that they sent the car to the [redacted] dealership (I have the text messages) I called all on the [redacted] service centers in a 50mile radius of arlington and none of them serviced the car I was supposed to be soldThis dealership is shady, dishonest, unethical, and unfairThe consumer and their satisfaction is not a priority of this dealership, money isI sat and waited hours to talk to the owner about refunding me my money since the car was in poor condition, even after they held it for over a week saying that it was being fixed and it will be in great condition when I got it and for the inconvenience that they have put me through( I live miles from the dealership ) The owner showed up to the dealership after my waiting two hours and walked right pass me as I sat at the dealers desk waiting to meet with himThe dealer left and the owner went and sat at his desk only feet away and did not say a word to me, the dealer had told him I was there waiting on himI had to get up and go to talk to him, the owner had a downright abominable and careless attitudeI explained to him the situation and why I wanted a refund and how I felt like the dealer had mislead me and didn't give me any paperwork on the carThis gentleman was antagonistic, and uncooperative, he knows what a meant and what I was saying, his response "its just business"Desired Settlement: I just want the money I was gonna use a a downpayment back so that I can go to an actual dealership that sells cars that are in good condition

Review: On November 8, 2013, I provided [redacted], CEO of Carmaster’s of Arlington, with a check in the amount of $39,000 from my bank in effort for you to order me a vehicle. [redacted] of Carmaster’s of Arlington agreed to provide me with the vehicle no later than 7-13 business days, which would have been on or about November 28, 2013. Because the vehicle was never delivered to me, I advised Carmaster’s of Arlington that I would like to cancel the transaction, in addition to a full refund for which the vehicle was never delivered to me. I also presented him with a rescission letter, which was signed and they agreed to refund me my money. More than a month later, here it is, December 11, 2013; and I still have yet to receive my refund. I have visited the office daily complaining about this transaction and demanding my refund. They keep giving me the run around, telling me to come back because [redacted] is not in the office, and when I see Theron, he states that his wife will write the check and he tells me to come back. I have spent thousands of dollars in legal fees in addition to rental cars fees just to get my money back; and I still have yet to receive my refund. Additionally, I contacted my bank who informed me that Carmaster's of Arlington cashed the check on November 13, 2013. They have stolen my money and I would like to file a complaint.Desired Settlement: I just want them to refund money because they never delivered the vehicle to me. What they did was wrong, and it is unfortunate that I have to go through this during the holidays. They never even delivered the vehicle to me. I have to wait for them to issue my refund before I can even purchase a car.

Review: I purchased a used car from CarMasters of Arlington ([redacted]), from a **. [redacted] (owner of establishment) on June 10, 2013. He showed available cars on an Internet webpage and we selected from there. His staff said the car was local so I would have it in a few days as I wanted this as a birthday gift for my son the next week. I paid in full up front for the car ($4,589.13). After almost 30 days I never received the car. They gave a string of changing reasons as time passed (car not local, delivery truck delayed by storms, truck delayed by malfunction, purchased car needs tires, then needs tune up, then needs convertible top fix). Finally, after they said they had the car in their possession I asked to see the car since they said they now had it and they refused even though I had paid in full. Several times over the course of the month they indicated it would be ready and we would go there and wait, letting them know we were there and having them assure us they would get us as soon as it arrived, only to have them close their business and not contact us as they said they would. It seems there was fraud going on as they had my payment in full and they refused to ever give me the car or even let me see it. They did give me a refund after 30 days of waiting with no delivery on July 5, 2013.Desired Settlement: At this point what can be done? The intent was for a 1st car for my son and they assured me it would be in on time. Then there was almost 30 days of excuses and them having me wait at their facility telling me they would contact me when it arrived and never contacting me. One time I was told they were there getting my car ready and when I came the business was closed for the day! My son was very emotional over all that transpired and their lies through the process. They did refund me in full (including interest) so there is no loss of money. At this point I think the best resolution is for you to warn other consumers of the fraudulent practices of this business.

Business

Response:

In response to [redacted] (it would not let me online): We gave him a full refund plus interest. There was no fraud. We are sorry that we were not able to get him the car he wanted in a timely manner.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

Even though I paid for the car in full, and they had my money for almost 30day, the dealership actually refused to let me see the car which I owned. The car was in their possession and they refused to let me look at it even though I owed it having paid in full. There is definitely some level of fraud going on as every time I asked another delaying tactic. No need to pursue this Revdex.com complaint any more as the dealership is dishonest with some level of fraud occurring that is being investigated.

Review: I brought my car from this dealer an it's a lemon. I can't count on my hand how many times I been out here for the same thing. I first brought a explorer it was no good , the owner then gave me an expedition but of course it wasn't any good either , now I'm here with this 07 Chrysler 300 that's causing all these problems an the owner is not really doing anything about it... My engine light is on an many other things.Desired Settlement: I would like for the owner to either get my car fixed by a Chrysler dealer or give me another car or truck that is working properly an is not a lemon. Also for the same amount as my car , an I'll be very much satisfied .

Business

Response:

The car is not a lemon. It would say so inside the driver side door. SO that is not true. We installed your alternator for free. You bought your car AS-IS. We have been nice enough to put you in 3 different cars to satisfy you and now you want a 4th? That's crazy. Every car you have been in you complain about then we sell it to another customer and the car is fine. We are not a service shop. Every used car bought is not perfect and will need some work.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:

First of all if u put me in 3 different cars then obviously something was wrong. The exployer the transmission was, gone the expedition was knocking, Then u give me this Chrysler 300 that was no good from the beginning... Yes u did put the alternator on for free which u should have... I waste time, money an gas coming back an fourth out there every other day. Your bad for business and you make Arlington look bad.... If your gonna sale cars make sure there not lemons just to get someone's money then once their financed you don't care what happens.... Your a snake an eventually Revdex.com will get enough complaints to shut your business down.

Regards,

Melinda Pearson

Business

Response:

Lemons apply only to new cars!!! Please look up the definition of it. You don't know what your talking about. Used cars do need work from time to time, that's a known fact. We have since sold every car you have been put in and those customers are all happy. Your just trying to take advantage of people who have done nothing but help you. And Revdex.com has not rights to shut down any business.
