Our car did not pass the emission test and we took it to Carmel. They corrected the problem perfectly and in good time. Very, very pleased with their work, their service and their pleasant attitude.

I've only been in Phoenix for 9 months, and I've been going to Carmel Automotive ever since. My car was brand new at the time and I got a bolt stuck in my tire. Every other place was closed, including the Ford dealer. I found this place and was pleased with the service and price. I've gone back to have my exhaust changed, lowering springs installed and camber plates with alignment. Every time I get any work done, I always pay less than the estimate, which is already a great price. I absolutely love this place! Bruce (the big boss) is one of the friendliest guys you'd ever want working on your car. He's been a good friend as well as a mechanic. Ben is great too!. Outstanding peopl!

We have been customers of Carmel Automotive for over 20 years. We trust them with all our automotive service needs, from the simplest to the most complicated. This includes periodic diagnostic checkups preceeding long highway trips. They look for potential problems (belts, hoses, fluid leaks, tires, etc.). And they don't take this as an opportunity to conjure up non-existent problems in order to stick us with unnecessary repair costs. They are completely trustworthy and are fair in their pricing.

We have taken our vehicles to Carmel Automotive for over 15 years. My husband is a retired mechanic and can do most of the repairs himself but with time and equipment for bigger repairs sometimes being an issue, he always trusts the people at Carmel to do the work and to do it for a fair price - they always let us know the costs up front.

My recent experience with Carmel was that I needed quite a lot of tune up work, timing belt, spark plugs, etc and so it had to be at the shop for a couple of days. They worked late into the evening and into Saturday (not their usual tune up day) but were waiting on parts in order to finish the car for when I needed it - I don't live in Phoenix. We like them so much we actually make special arrangements to get our cars serviced while we are in the Phoenix area.

Carmel Automotive has been my neighborhood shop for many years and I have had many different cars serviced there. Most service calls are routine and others are when one of our aging vehicles develops a real problem. On two occasions they phoned me with news that the problems were easily fixed and less expensive. All experiences have been positive, the shop is friendly and Bruce, Ben and Sergio are terrific. I am very happy that Carmel Automotive is in our neighborhood.

I had the great fortune of being introduced to Bruce close to 12 years ago by another friend when I needed a mechanic that I could trust.
Since that day, I have taken every vehicle belonging to myself and my wife to Bruce and his crew.
They will never ** you into doing something that doesn’t need to be done, and he will always be honest with you regarding any issue he finds with your car.
I have send dozens of my friends to Carmel since my first intro, and I will continue to do so for may years to come.

I am a Veteran that took my wife's car in for brakes and an issue with battery draw, they informed me that the cable between alt. and the battery was not available in states and would have to be ordered from Germany, and the post on my alt was bad, resulting in $1400 dollar bill w/ out brake repair, after questioning the repairs I found the cable in Dallas OEM for $52, when revealing this to Carmel, they were basically calling me a liar, and the refused to work on Vehicle, stating that it's not a job they actually wanted to do, I asked the owner if I had not questioned the $1400 bill, would they have worked on the car, "yes we would".

The Alt and cable have since been inspected and are actually in working order, the draw was coming from the air ride system. I am now a proud owner of an OEM pos. cable, that I would be glad to show anyone. I find it sad that this type of work is being performed against hard working Americans, that struggle to provide for their families. Beware of this business tactics.

Bruce and his staff have been extremely helpful. They took care of my Audi the same day I brought it in for service. When it had a water leak they ordered the material and had it fixed the same week. I'm super grateful for their kindness, care, and quality of work.
