The former moved out on 8-2-15 and we billed this balance due out on 8-17-15, per our letter states to contact us, as we do the billing and if a former has a issue we will check into it, [redacted] contacted the property and they told him he had to...

contact us which he did by email, we advised him, the balance due was in order as the property advised that a new dishwasher was put in his apartment on X-XX-XX and he damaged the new dishwasher and they had to replace it when he moved-out. [redacted] sent a email disputing the dishwasher replacement. Per his email advised he will be reporting us to Revdex.com and going to file small claims unless we return his deposit. We turn this file to [redacted] on 8-24-and they have the file, which we did not answer any more of his emails, on 8-26 we received a email from [redacted], advised going to JeffCo court today, give us a chance to rectify or he will be asking for court cost and payment. Also advised us to check our reviews on [redacted].com and will be reviewing our other properties. Again this file been sent to [redacted] they have the file and pictures.

Carmel did not address the issue at hand, which is that after refusing to address a service request for over a week before I left the property, they had the audacity to charge me for the dishwasher that was likely not functioning any more because they had failed to do the fill that service request, and the garbage disposal had backed up into the dishwasher. They then further insulted my intelligence, and implicitly that of the Revdex.com, by claiming that the reason that the dishwasher need to be replaced was that the handle was broken. First, the handle was perfectly fine when I left and I've lined up two witnesses who can attest to this. Second, a broken handle does not cost 396$ or necessitate replacing the entire dishwasher. This is a naked attempt to steal my money because Carmel didn't believe I would go through the hassle of suing them to get it back. This is a very dirty way of doing business and I will be doing my best to ensure they don'y get away with it and other future victims are notified of their practices.

The new property that bought this property received small claims papers that the former has filed with the court,this paper work has been sent to our collection agency as we advised this file was sent to the collection agency on X-XX-XX to handle when he advised he wanted his deposit back and was not paying the balance due of %59.18.
So again this file is with the collection agent and they will be handling the small claim issues.
