Our office contacted Mrs. [redacted] and told her that we no longer do work there, and had turned her contract over to [redacted] had tried to contact her several times. She said she does not pick up the phone if she does not...

know the number who is calling. At that point, we sent her a full refund of $269.60, so he would be 100% satisfied. We also gave her the model and serial numbers that she had requested.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
[redacted]  tried calling my number ONCE. I listened to the message and immediately returned the phone call in less than 24 hours. There were no other attempts by [redacted] to contact me. There were numerous phone calls & messages however, that I had made PREVIOUSLY to  Carmine's which were never returned, though promised to be made over an 8 month period. I am disabled, that is the reason I did not rush to answer the ONE UNIDENTIFIED  phone call made to my number that I did not recognize. Carmine's business vans were on my street 3 times servicing the air conditioning unit of a male owner of a condominium unit, on the day(s) I spoke to Carmine's representatives and the [redacted] representative. I have pictures to prove that they do in fact service my area. They made no effort to fix the open pipe that their technician left to leak water onto my floor in August 2013.

After speaking to a [redacted] employee I was informed that the refund would be sent along with the serial numbers needed. Carmine's has misrepresented themselves at every level in regards to their solicited signed contract.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I had 2 other estimates for this job and Carmine's was the best cost wise and providing what I really needed. We were very impressed with the salesman and how he planned out what was needed.

We were very impressed with the installation job. Friendliness and professionalism and would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone.

Great people, great service. Highly recommend Carmine's! Thank you!

Carmine and his crew were great! They did a fantastic job with a very complicated situation. I highly recommend them!!

Review: I contacted the business that installed the AC/Heating Unit after purchasing my home. On Aug. 5, 2013 a technician was dispatched to perform a cleaning and inspection of the heat pump, compressor etc. He solicited a service contract that would include 2 tune-ups/cleanings within the year. He advised I call the manufacturer ([redacted]) to transfer ownership of the unit(s). He provided the Phone number. The next morning I heard water dripping. I notice the technician had left a drainage PVC pipe attached to the unit, in my utility closet, separated/unattached /unconnected. There was purple resin on both ends but water was pooling on my floor. I called Carmine's and was told they'd contact the technician and they would get back to me. No one did. I called several times, no one ever got back to me. I put epoxy tape around the 2 ends and temporarily solved the problem. In December I called to schedule a tune-up and to remind them that no one ever got back to me regarding the disconnected pipe and to advise them that the 'pad' that the outside compressor is sitting on has sunken and the unit is at ground level. I was told that they usually schedule tune-ups in March. I advised the employee that the tech had been told to schedule it in Dec. and that "[redacted]", who handles ** calls would get beck to me. No one did. I called multiple times and then was told that there was a problem with ** and that [redacted], himself would call me. He never did. I called multiple times to no avail. I did see a Carmine's truck parked on my street servicing a neighbor's unit. I called again and was told they were replacing parts under warranty. I explained I still have a contract that I paid for, yet no one is willing to fix the pipe from Aug. nor perform the tune-up, nor address the pad that was installed by their company that is causing further damage if not addressed. There is a Carmine's truck outside servicing a neighbor's unit again, today. I was told they turned my contract over to [redacted]. I am disabled.Desired Settlement: I want to have my pad that supports the outside unit installed properly, before any damage or further damage occurs, the pipe that the technician left open properly secured, 2 tune-ups completed at my discretion (within the yearly contract dates) and to have either company provide me with the serial numbers and any and all other information I need to properly transfer the parts warranty originally provided to the previous owner of my HVAC system.

Review: New unit installed on 9/26/12 and same problem from the 1st unit. Need to restart unit every time to get hot water.

Have had consistent problems with hot water heater, originally installed by carmines heating. Was told by sales rep when originally sold that a service contract would be available eventually, which has not been the case. Unit went bad 0n 9\26\12, and after arguing w carmines was told to pay for the labor($750.00), that they got the manufacturer to warranty the tank. Now less than a year since a brand new unit was put in, a control valve has gone bad. Was told that I have to pay for the part and the labor, to which I was told "you should have been told there was going to be a charge when you made the appt. "This is totally unacceptable and out of line to be asked to pay for anything regarding this unit.Desired Settlement: I have no faith or trust in this company. All we have had is constant battling for simple resolutions and explanations. I am contemplating legal action.

Response:

Original water heater was installed 2/2008. Model #[redacted], Serial #[redacted]

This heater carries a 1 year labor warranty and a 6 year parts warranty.

8/24/2012: Tank was leaking, replace heater. Model #[redacted] Serial #[redacted]

4 1.2 years old. Factory warranty is covering the heater only. All parts & labor are not under warranty. Invoice #[redacted], $720.00

The replacement heater reverts back to the original warranty date, it does not start over again.

8/30/2012: Ran diagnostics of heater. Removed customer installed dryer vent cover on flue. Factory does not want cover on flue. This can cause problems. Invoice#[redacted], NO CHARGE.

9/26/2012: Replaces gas valve and burner assembly under warranty. Invoice# [redacted], NO CHARGE

9/11/2013: No hot water. Mr. [redacted] said he refused to pay any labor charges, he will get someone else to make repairs. Parts are under warranty until 9/22/2013. Labor is not covered in warranty. We did not charge him for this call NO CHARGE.

We do not understand Mr. [redacted]'s complaint. He was not charged for the time we went out. He was upset over the labor charge, but that warranty expired 2/2009. We do not understand what he wants, we have been very fair with him.

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: When we were originally sold the unit by Carmines, we were told by the salesperson that a service contract would be available, which never was. We didn't install the flue or vent cover, this was done by Carmines when the original unit was installed. When a service request is made, it should be practice to tell the client that a servce charge is expected before the technician, who spent 10 minutes diagnosing the is[redacted], left my house, then called me up to tell me that he was told by his office to charge me. How do I know that it wasn't human error with the installation by Carmine's, that caused the original unit to go bad, or the heater valve to malfunction. And besides the tank wasn't leaking in Aug of 2012, it had completely come apart and caused quite a flood in my basement. To call it a leak is not doing it justice.

Sincerely,

Subject: Re: Regarding Complaint #[redacted]

>Compliant #[redacted]

>Mr [redacted] was not charged for that call, all fees were waived, what is he actually complaining about being charged??? He never paid a dime for our technicians to come out. As far as the tank goes, it was a factory warranty, not Carmine's warranty. At this point we are unsure of what he wants from us. We went out numerous times at no charge to him.

The installation of the unit by your mechanics was equally an excellent experience and I would recommend your services without hesitation.
