Review: My husband's truck was allegedly repaired with a "re-built" transmission for $2,000.00. It continuously leaked transmission fluid causing my husband to be stranded several times, wherein my husband would call [redacted]'s and they sent a truck to pick him up. Now this shop owner wants us to pay ANOTHER $2,100.00 for the OWNER TO CALL A REAL TRANSMISSION PLACE because they would only pay $400 TO CORRECT THEIR MISTAKE. What Kind of business won't correct their mistake?? The owner told my husband that he paid a JUNK YARD FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND SINCE THE OWNER KNEW THAT SOMEONE IN HIS GARAGE HAD MESSED UP HE FIGURED HE COULD JUST OFFER A SLIGHT DISCOUNT AND WE WOULD CALL IT EVEN !! I do not find this deceitful practice acceptable -- we cannot afford to pay another $2,000-plus for another transmission when all they had to do was properly order a new or rebuilt transmission AFTER conferring with my husband, and fix the problem properly in the beginning. Instead, THIS SHOP HAS HAD OUR VEHICLE SINCE JUNE 6, 2013 -- AND TODAY IS AUGUST 12, 2013; AND WE STILL DON'T HAVE TRUCK back -- OVER 2 MONTHS have gone by and now the owner of [redacted]s wants more money -- they haven't even started repairs even though the shop told us they were "getting ready" to work on it a few weeks ago.This morning, my father-in-law called us -- said he spoke to [redacted]'s and they told him the truck won't start now and there are other things wrong with it, like fuel injectors, etc. TWO MONTHS have passed and no one called US about this -- no, they start talking to someone OTHER THAN THE OWNER about repairs needed - this is unbelievable!! WHY are they talking to my father-in-law about a vehicle that is not his?? And this has happened more than once. Their business practices are questionable to say the least. To have a vehicle in their shop for over two months and not even begin to repair same is outrageous, to say the least.Thank you for your assistance with this matter.Sincerely,Mrs. [redacted]Desired Settlement: We would like the vehicle repaired with a new or rebuilt transmission from a reputable transmission shop/company, installed by someone who actually knows transmissions, and working properly plus a refund of $2,000 originally paid for the transmission job back in March 2013. (Owner admitted to my husband that he went to "the junkyard" for the transmission - and they put that transmission directly into our vehicle before they made sure that it worked properly.)

TO THE BETTER BUISINESS BUREAU CLAIM #[redacted] ON 08/27/12 [redacted] INSTALLED A USED TRANSMISSION WITH LABOR AND FLUID FOR A TOTAL PRICE OF 1500.50 DOLLARS REPAIR ORDER # 16187.0N FEB 4 2013 MR. MEYERS PICKED UP COMPLETED VEHICLE ON JUNE 6,2013. MR. MEYERS CALLED OUR SHOP AND SAID HE WAS BROKE DOWN IN HELENA, MT. AT THAT TIME WE SENT A TOW TRUCK TO PICK UP THE VEHICLE AND BRING BACK TO OUR SHOP AND WE DID NOT CHARGE FOR THE 100 MILE TOW. AT THAT TIME WE FOUND THE USED TRANSMISSION TO BE BAD WE TRIED TO REBUILD IT BUT IT WAS NOT REBUILDABLE WE SPOKE TO MR. MEYERS AND RECOMENDED A NEW TRANSMISSION FOR 2000.00 AND WE WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE LABOR. HE SAID HE WOULD CALL US BACK BUT DID NOT. ON AUG 5 2013 MRS.MEYERS CALLED US AND TOLD US WE WOULD REPAIR THIS AT NO COST OR THEY WOULD SEEK LEGAL COUNSEL ON AUGUST 10 2013 WE SPOKE TO MRS. MEYERS AND TOLD HER WE WOULD PUT IN ANOTHER USED TRANSMISSION AT NO CHARGE REPAIR ORDER #[redacted] ON AUG 30 2013 MRS. MEYERS PICKED UP YHE VEHICLE AND WE APPOLOGIZED FOR ANY INCONVIENENCE.
