Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:This is actually a partial rejection I accept the repair work for all damaged parts to systems, at no cost to me.However, I reject the replacement cost of Antifreeze because of a price markup over *percent for flush of system compared to going market rate I was quote $450-by the original installer Standard Oil is proposing in excess of *,dollars, which I consider excessive.Marty has notified via email, they have no flexibility in this quote for the flush Sincerely, [redacted]

First of all thank you for helping me and my family out.I called and made an appointment with them, so far so goodStandard Oil accepted me again as a customer, its a win-win situation for all of us Now I'm waiting to see if they r going to show upI don't believe it until I see itI'll keep you posted.Thank you,*** and ***

above captioned complaint We have reviewed the above captioned complaint and believe that it arises from some misunderstanding in the communications between Standard and our customer. We find that the balance on our customer’s account to be $and consists solely of a charge for an oil delivery made on 09/16/2016. Our records show that a service call was made on that same date but the customer was not charged for the call. This will acknowledge receipt of the above captioned complaint which was forwarded to our Service Department for review and it is my understanding
that an email was sent to the Complainant in which we offered to replace, without charge any operating part of the boiler affected by the anti-freeze in his heating systemAs of the above date, we have had no acknowledgment or response to our email from Mr***
Regretfully, the cost of removal, disposal and replacement of the anti-freeze itself is not covered by any of Standard Oil’s Service Plans
The labor involved in the anti-freeze removal is expected to be, at minimum, five hours and quite likely moreThe environmentally toxic anti-freeze requires handling by hazardous waste specialists and is extremely costly to dispose ofThe amount of replacement anti-freeze can exceed gallons or more but is probably the least expensive item in the entire process
As stated above, Standard will remove, replace and dispose of the existing anti-freeze for the sum of $*,04*and replace, at no cost to Mr***, any mechanical part or electronic control of the boiler affected by corrosion caused by his existing anti-freeze

This will acknowledge receipt of the Complaint’s response to Standard Oil’s reply to his original complaint.
I have queried our Service Department regarding the cost of the anti-freeze replacement for Mr. [redacted]’s boiler and have been told that the price quote is irreducible.
They suggest that, if Mr. [redacted] has found a qualified individual to replace the anti-freeze at the quoted price of $450.00 to $500.00, he take immediate advantage of that offer and have them make the replacement.
We regret that we are unable to find any basis on which to lower our quote and, again, recommend that he utilize the services quoted by his previous installer.
