I scheduled my appointment for my estimate at 9:30 and the salesman contacted me around 9:15a to ask me if I still wanted to come. After I confirmed, he said he would arrive between 9:45-10a, but failed to show until 10:30a. Despite the issues, I decided to proceed because I wanted to use United Van Lines. The movers were scheduled from 12:30-1:30p.

Since no one contacted me all morning, I called at 12:40p to confirm that the scheduled time would still be honored. I was told by [redacted] that it would. When no one arrived and I had not received a phone call by 2p, I called the office again. [redacted] was unaware that the truck had not been to my home, she indicated she would make a call to find out what was happening. Long story short, the movers didn't arrive until 3:15p.

My belongings were of course, ended up not being scheduled for delivery until the last day possible per the contract, which was a Saturday. At 4:30p EST, I received a text message from [redacted] indicating she had no information on the truck and inquiring as to whether I received an update. I called her at 4:44p EST after when I was available and she indicated that she still had no information on the truck and that my delivery would likely be Monday. After much conversation, which should not have been necessary, she decided she would call the driver.

After we hung up, I contacted United Van Lines myself at 5:00p EST and received a complete answer within a 10 minute conversation. They spoke with the local moving company and confirmed my belongings would be delivered the following morning between 8-9a. I went on to conduct other business.

At 6:26p EST, I finally received a voicemail message from [redacted] about the move. This would be 1.5 hours after I resolved the issue for myself. She followed up with another text message at 7:04p, reiterating what had already been resolved with me by corporate 2 hours prior. When I was finally able to reach [redacted] around 7:53p, she was acting as though she had done something tremendous to help me.

When I expressed to her my dissatisfaction with how her company handled my move, she began talking over me, interrupting me and then giving herself accolades for awards she own in the past. I advised her that it did not change the fact that I was unsatisfied and she went on to say, "I don't care to change how you feel, I know how good I am," words to that effect. She was completely dismissive of her failure to perform her duties in such a way that it would not have a repetitive, negative impact on me as the consumer. She continued to display a lack of professionalism, as she began to speak louder and more hostile, so I hung up on the phone to end the call to her.
