I am very unhappy with the customer service I received regarding my upcoming cruise I was suppose to take in March When booking the agent stated that if I wasn't sure if I was really going to be able to go, as I told him because of my jobHe ( [redacted] saidlets get you the protection plan in case you have to cancel and then you will get all your money back up to the date of the cruiseI had to cancel today and he states that I only get a $refund and then there is a $cancellation fee plus the rest of the amount goes on a credit for another cruise later onWell if I had known that if only a medical emergency, death in family, lost my job and if my flights get cancelled beyond my control am I entitled to a refundWOWI am not that stupid to pay for something that none of those circumstances would pertain to meI feel they are very vague in explaining things to their customers

I called pessimistically hoping to postpone my cruise with only a week leftI was hoping since I didn't want to cancel, just postpone, they could credit me or rescheduleNot only would they not do it, the hour debacle that ensued was horrendousI was hung up on twice, I was told by two separate employees that the supervisor could waive my penalties if they wanted to, yet multiple supervisors blew me off without hearing my storyIn fact, nobody asked me WHY I needed to cancel until the 5th or 6th person and after being hung up on twiceNobody was friendly, nobody seemed to care AT ALL about me as a customerNo matter how much I tried to reason with them, they clearly had ZERO interest in keeping or even hearing out a customerAbsolutely TERRIBLE customer service and you could tell it's ingrained in this company from the top downThis company smells like Wells Fargo in how little they respect their customersI would be astonished if anybody at any level of this company thinks it's important to respect and value their customersI lost all of the money I spent with this company with absolutely nothing to show for it

My letter to Carnival Cruise went unanswered therefore it is apparent that this company has little to no interest in responding to its customersMy cruise, Voyage # TXXXXXXXXXXXX, was totally ruined by the continuous, excessive mechanical noise generated directly under my cabin #The source of this mechanical noise was never identified or admitted to by the crewBut the noise was repetitive and frequentIt is my opinion that this particular cabin is uninhabitable in the presence of this noise
People being booked into cabin out of Galveston should verify that this is not thier assigned cabin, otherwise, their cruise will be a complete aggravation

As I told the crew on the Carnival Elation, I am writing a review on the awful services provided by Carnival during my day cruise out of New Orleans on November 24th, Let me start by saying I will never cruise Carnival againI considered myself a veteran cruiser with four cruises in the last seven years, twice with CarnivalMy wife and I booked the Carnival Elation for a honeymoon with our friends during the week of ThanksgivingI booked early because I wanted to ensure the perfect room for my wife's first cruise everI found the destination to Progreso to have been a waste of our moneyThat port is not ready for any ship much less any turistI will break down day by dayDay embarkation was amazingI will admit the Port of New Orleans and the embarkation/debarkation team have their stuff togetherOn the boat in minutes off the boat in minutes AWESOME!But that's where the good stuff ends for the most partOur friends wanted to surprise us with cakes for our honeymoon, the cakes never arrived at the specified timeThey ended up in guest services on the first day fighting to get their money back, because the time the crew wanted to deliver the late cakes was in the evening after we would have already have eaten dinnerIt took an hour just to get the credit back on their accountsWOW! Bad startLater that evening we went to dinner where the service was slow and horribleWe didn't get water until minutes after seating down, bread after minAt least the meal was good but no servers were smiling or happy to be thereAlready we felt as a burden to the crewThe evening show was a joke as was the rest of the shows in the main show roomDay 2, sea day spent having drinks and in the casino as the only entertain was that or trivia....hmmmm...about trivia games to play but no actual entertainment....again a jokeMy wife and wife's friend went to the "SPA" to get their make up and hair done for the formal nightThey spent $for both of themWhen they got back, I asked why haven't they gotten their hair and make up done? They responded we did, and it was HORRIBLE!!! It looked that they didn't have any make up and their hair was a disgraceMy wife and friend refused to take formal pictures because they were turned off by their hairThey ended up redoing everything in the cabin waisting our timeDay AMAZING...why? we were off the ship and in Cozumel, we did the Dolphin Swim....AMAZING will recommendExcept the best port we had during the trip was also our least amount of time spent!! We were off the boat by 9am and rushed to get back by 3:30pmNOT ENOUGH TIME!!!! Comedy was great and was about the only show worth watchingDinning services was great only because we finally found a dining room team that actually smiled and enjoyed our company and paid atttention to the detailsWe had Your time DiningDay 4: Waisted, spent the most amount of time at port for the worst port I have even been to in the west and east caribbeanThe morning started bad with room service that never made it to my room...ended up rushing to dinning room to eatAnd while in the dining room eating breakfast, the waiter got everyones order wrong...so wrong my wife ended up with just two eggs!! I mean I thought it was a joke and we where on cameraDinner was great because we asked for the table we had the night before with ***, ***, *** and I ***...yes I remembered their names becuase they were the only saving grace on that shipThey were in the Imagination roomDay repeat Day By end of the trip, we went to guest services to complain about everything we experienced during our stayWe complained about the garbage my wife tripped over in the staircases, about the garbage left out on Deck for about three days!!!!!!! (NO JOKE), about the lack of security as teenages ran around the ship at midnight and threw things around and pushed us out of the way a couple times as they ran rampetWHERE WAS SECURITY!!!!!!!! We explained how my wife and I picked up a broken glass off the putt putt course and cleaned it up ourselves (not even our trash)All we got was blank stares and a sorryOur friends room ended up with ANTS!!!! No sympathy, in fact they tried to blame my friends for bringing them on BOARD!!! Really!!! We got a window room and might as well been an interier room becuase they were absolutly disgusting....could not see out....wish they would have washed the windows at port!!!! Money waisted; I should have gotten an interier and saved my moneyReally disappointedOverall, the worst cruise I have even been onI wasted good hard earned money for a special occaision on a special week of thanksgiving and could even get good dinner services/food on Thanksgiving Day!!Why did I pay a premium for a terrible week, terrible services, terrible room, and terrible entertainmentCarnival Cruises....GOOD BYE! NCL here we comeOh yes NCL by far has been the best and it was a similar sized ship

I've had a HORRIBLE experience and I haven't even set sail I booked my cruise in February of this year for a friend's wedding on the boat In March I learned I was pregnant with my first child My doctor explained that I will be too far along at the time the ship debarked and it was strenuously advised I not travel to Zika virus locations I immediately contacted my Carnival cruise rep to begin the refund process She initially told me I was not entitled to a refund but would get a cruise credit I explained I knew this was information, as I read the refund policy, and I would like to know how to get my money back She instructed me to get a note from my doctor, stating I was not to travel to Zika infested areas and I would be too far along to travel on the ship In fact, it's Carnival's policy that I not be allowed on the ship at this stage of pregnancy Had I even wanted to continue with this cruise, they wouldn't allow me on the ship I digress...As instructed, I went down the path of getting a doctor's note After obtaining such note, I was told to call customer service to get a refund After hours in a black hole of terrible customer service and endless departmental transfers, I am only getting 75% of my money back!! I'm well before the cutoff date that Carnival states I will pay a penalty for cancelation I'm apparently losing 25% of my money due to a promotion that I booked, which I HAD NO CLUE ABOUT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING!! So, Carnival is keeping $of my money, that could go to preparations for my unborn child, because THEY won't let me on the boat that is traveling to Zika land, which my doctor states is potentially life threatening for me and my unborn child Great customer service, Carnival! I have made it my mission to spread the word on your complete carelessness and thievery of your customer's money

I had two different sales representatives end the conversation with me without my permissionThese people are extremely rude, and prompted me to write my first ever Revdex.com reviewI just can't believe this company hires such horrible employeesThat is a sign of awful management
The first time I called to inquire about the different between two rooms, which was not clearly explained onlineWhen the sales person couldn't answer it he without my permission transferred me away to a different deptThat person then told me I was in the wrong deptand needed to be talking to the sales deptI got transferred back to sales where I asked to speak with a managerI was told the manager would refuse to speak with me and I had to be transferred AGAIN to a different deptI was transferred to a different deptwhere I said I wanted the person who transferred me without my permission to be located, and spoken to by a managerI was then told that was a DIFFERENT deptwhich I would have to wait THREE days until they could "look into it"
After I decided to just go with the cheaper of the two options I never saw my $onboard credit pwhich it said I would receive in my email, so I didn't complete the purchase and called the sales deptback again to which she just kept trying to push forward the sale completely ignoring my questions about the $creditOnce I stopped answering her questions she finally looked it up and said that cruise doesn't have any onboard creditI then said "but why did I receive an email saying I would get $credit and this was one of the..." click, hung up on me
I will not be cruising with this business

One word to describe Carnival CruiseHORRIBLEOn June my boyfriend paid $for airline tickets to fly to fl for a cruise I had planned for my 30th birthday this yearThe flight was scheduled for Nov 19thWe get to hartsfield airport Nov 19th check our bags in at 9:Our flight was scheduled to depart at 10:15amWe get to the gate only to have there worker (employee id # 38038) tell us that she had given our seats up to two standby passengersI thought surely she's kiddingI said we'll switch our flights to the next departing oneShe states that all flights are booked and she has one departing at 5:00pmI inform her my cruise departs at there's no way I can leave Atlanta at 5:00pmHer exact words were to find another airline to fly withSo now I'm stuck in Atlanta after having paid $for flight tickets and $to have our bags checkedWe then were able to get last minute flight tickets with delta which cost us $only to get to fl to find out that my cruise I paid $for had just departed 10mins agoI then buy American airline tickets to flys us back from fl to ga which cost $I called Carnival to explain the situation and ask for a refundThey told me they can not issue a refundI explained to the worker that it was not my fault that I missed the cruise that Spirit airlines was the reason I missed reason I missed my flights which then caused me to miss my cruiseShe then started shouting and accusing me of fraudExcuse me I paid $for a cruise that Spirit airlines caused me to miss I call and ask for a refund because I never received your good or services that you offer and I'm the one committing fraudSounds like the other way aroundI paid $for a cruise that I didn't go on I am entitled to my money backRepresentative was very rude and way out of like to accuse me of committing fraudMy advice DO NOT go on carnival cruiseJust fly to you desired destination

Carnival Cruise Lines now does business by deceiving potential passengers. Booked on the Victory and their website indicates that restaurants, activities, etc. are available on the Victory same as other ships. However, the Victory has NOTHING and the only way to ascertain this is by checking the deck plans deck by deck! Passengers should be able to rely on the information CCL provides without having to be a detective to learn they are being deceptive!

After decades of sailing with them, they wanted a 50% penalty to switch to another ship! Not cancel altogether - just switch. We would have spent much more $$ by switching and been happy - but they chose to be inflexible in spite of their deception. Will not sail with them again!!

I am very unhappy with the customer service I received regarding my upcoming cruise I was suppose to take in March 2017. When booking the agent stated that if I wasn't sure if I was really going to be able to go, as I told him because of my job. He ([redacted] said.. lets get you the protection plan in case you have to cancel and then you will get all your money back up to the date of the cruise.. I had to cancel today and he states that I only get a $250 refund and then there is a $50 cancellation fee plus the rest of the amount goes on a credit for another cruise later on... Well if I had known that if only a medical emergency, death in family, lost my job and if my flights get cancelled beyond my control am I entitled to a refund. WOW.. I am not that stupid to pay for something that none of those circumstances would pertain to me. I feel they are very vague in explaining things to their customers.

Hi
I had booked a cruise in the month of April at a special deal.. two month later I found out I was pregnant.
I've been on the inspirational carnival cruise last year in June. I had a great time. That I decided to take it again for my vacation.
I find out today 10/22/2015 I'm not allowed the ship because I'm 26 weeks pregnant. I asked if I had another option and I was denied any oportunity to reschedule a date refund. When I wasn't the one who cancel. I was so emotional, I lost my vacation fun refund nor did they want to reschedule for a later date.. I lost my money when I booked I wasn't pregnant.

My husband and I have been on 3 cruises together and then 2 additional with our children. Several of these cruises have had our extended family with us as well. We have loved every minute. Of course we have had issues, toilet kept running or AC wasn't working properly, some of them are older ships on their way to revamp. Every concern we've ever had has been promptly attended to. The staff on board has always been nothing but nice to us and our entire family. Our children at the time of their first cruise were 6, 9, 12, and 14. They all had a blast and there were a ton of things for all of them to do. One night at the deck party my 6yr old fell in the crowd and was accidently kicked. The Cruise Director immediately jumped in and picked her up and took her out of the crowd. They escorted us to the doctor on duty and everything was fine. As soon as my little one was checked out she was right back in the crowd dancing and having a great time. The CD brought her up on the stage to dance and help throw out the goodies. I know people are going to write about their bad experiences but everyone should hear about all the great things that happen on these cruises. Every time we board the process goes smoothly, I make sure to have all the documentation we need. In a later cruise my daughter brought a friend and we had no issues going through embarkation since we had all the information and documentation needed to travel with an unrelated minor. Everything has been great and we look forward to our next cruise and so do our children. CCL Thank you for being our #1 cruise line choice! Your prices are always family friendly and your ships offer a ton of stuff for adults and children to do. Our cruises are usually 5 - 7 days.

I called pessimistically hoping to postpone my cruise with only a week left. I was hoping since I didn't want to cancel, just postpone, they could credit me or reschedule. Not only would they not do it, the 3 hour debacle that ensued was horrendous. I was hung up on twice, I was told by two separate employees that the supervisor could waive my penalties if they wanted to, yet multiple supervisors blew me off without hearing my story. In fact, nobody asked me WHY I needed to cancel until the 5th or 6th person and after being hung up on twice. Nobody was friendly, nobody seemed to care AT ALL about me as a customer. No matter how much I tried to reason with them, they clearly had ZERO interest in keeping or even hearing out a customer. Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service and you could tell it's ingrained in this company from the top down. This company smells like Wells Fargo in how little they respect their customers. I would be astonished if anybody at any level of this company thinks it's important to respect and value their customers. I lost all of the money I spent with this company with absolutely nothing to show for it.

I sailed a few time with Carnival and I've noticed quality of service going down hill. I had a problem with pictures that was taken. I paid over $700, there was a mix up on what I received. It's now been over a month with phone calls and emails. And its still not resolved. I can even get an idea on when it will be solved.
