The Shell has been sold and we all must move on I no longer want to deal with the he said/she said type of argument The argument is not good, it's not right and it lacks merit In the matter of helping this lady I will look for a clam shell coming up for sale and let her know about it

We have a bid box at the sales. If a customer does not want to pay the marked price they have the option of offering a lower one. We open the offers on the last day of the sale and if the item that someone has bid on is still available we call them to see if they are still
interested. If we do not speak with them directly we leave a message that says the item is still there and if they call us within a half an hour we will put their name on it. When they call we take their credit card # and that will solidify and complete the sale. If they do not have a credit card we will hold the item for one more half hour to give them time to come in and pay for it. She never called, simply showed up approximately two hours after our initial contact and the item had already been sold.Understandably we cannot just assume that the person making the offer is going to be there. I do not know who this person is nor do I know who bought the shell. The lady who did not return our call, in a timely fashion, came in and upon learning the shell had been sold, immediately demanded compensation of $and then threatened lawsuit.We are charged with, and it is our duty to see that our client gets proper representation for items as well as being fair to our buyers. We adopt reasonable policies to make sure that everyone is treated fairly
