Definitely would NOT recommend this company. The final cost of our remodel was 50% over the original estimate. Several things were not handled properly and went wrong during the entire process. After receiving the original estimate, and before work was to begin in one area, we had the construction supervisor come back out for a discussion for something we wanted as a possible change. We spent about 20 minutes talking about it, and wanted the new estimate before work was to begin in this area. This conversation was "forgotten" and work began anyway. Thus, re-work had to be done to correct the mistake, as we did still opt for the new change. Another area of re-work occurred - again due to "forgetting" what we had discussed. A few things happened that were questionable, that could have been resolved by a simple phone call to us. Painting and construction was not properly coordinated, and we had painters waiting on the construction guys to be out of the way before they could get in there and paint. When we asked the president of the company about some of these things; the replies we got were, "that's what you get when you do 'cost plus'", and "that's what happens with a small project like yours. If it were bigger, we could coordinate painting and construction over several days, but you're sharing the grunt of the work with other small projects". We were told that we were not charged for re-work issues, and the management-style (i.e. forgetting conversations and not taking notes) of the construction supervisor did not cause us additional money. But we could not determine that based on the invoices we received. Plus, with the final bill being 50% over budget, it's hard to believe we did not end up paying for their mistakes. We realize with any remodel, going a little over budget is to be expected, and we did change something during the process. But the overall cost and handling of the project was not satisfactory at all. Keep looking - do not use this company.
