The company sent an inexperience field technician, resulting in egregious charges and left us with an inoperable printer. Carolina Copier Office Solutions requested the make and model of all machines prior to scheduling a service call. We were assured they were familiar with ALL our machines and could do the desired maintenance and any future repairs. The field technician service three machines and on our photo printer, indicated a belt was worn and would need eventual replacement. Our owner asked the cost involved and we were told an hour of labor ($125 hr) and the cost of the belt ($115). The final bill was $750 and, to date, we still do not have an operational machine. Desired SettlementexplainBusiness Response As of 3/6/2014 Carolina Copier did return to customers location, serviced machine and completed major testing with customer and was running correctly. Carolina Copier will say this unit took a little longer than technician has purposed. We are sorry for the miscommunication and hope that we can assist customer with service needs in the future.
