This hospital has a minor care located inside the building You register inside the ER and specify if you are wanting to be seen in minor care or in the ER We specified that my husband needed to be seen in minor care only, said this twice He was taken back and seen by an NP We received a bill with charges for minor care and emergency room fees When I called the hospital regarding bill, the first person said "Yes, it looks like you were charged for both", and connected me to someone else This person told me that they charge this way because it is the only way they can charge for the doctor seeing him She said they have to bill it through the emergency room I explained that I felt it was fraudulent to charge someone for minor care and emergency room care when he wasn't being seen as an ER patientShe explained that this is how they are supposed to bill and that many people have complained about the charges as well Her suggestion was to speak to Insurance Insurance com
