Mr*** did indeed visit us to have his customer supplied tires installed on February 3rdThe complainant instructed us that he wished to have the tires that he had purchased on his own mounted and balanced on his vehicleWe quoted the appropriate fees of $per tire to mount/balance and
install the supplied units and $for each if he wished us to disposeOnce the customer agreed to the terms and provided his keys employees were assigned to the job and we brought the vehicle into our shopThe vehicle was placed on a lift, lifting points were established and the vehicle was raisedAll lug nuts were loosened and the wheel/tire combinations were removed from vehicleAir valves were removed as well per standard operating procedureAn observant employee noticed that the tires the customer supplied were all the same brand however one had a different tread pattern(Many customers' vehicles that we have serviced in the past have opted for different models on the same vehicle due to discontinued brands or better value in some instances however all the exact same is optimal.) At this point we notified the customer of our findingsHe stated that he wished to not install any of the tires and he would have to get the correct setThe employee was correct in stating that we did not mount the new units on his car yet; therefore he did not believe that he would not have to pay the full $fee during the conversationSimultaneously a manager was notified and was assessing the situation at the vehicleOnce the situation and request of the customer was clear the customer was notified that he would not be responsible for the full $fee and would only be charged the $fee for mounting/dismounting tire/wheel combinations and resetting lug nuts to correct torque rating per the vehicle manufacturer This $fee is normally reserved for a simple rotation however we were also required to reinstall air valves on all tires and set to correct pressuresThere was no additional charge for this extra service The customer stated that we should be responsible for the financial burden and effort even though we did not provide the tires nor did we provide any recommendations or service before he purchased themWe do not agree as we were only asked to mount the provided tires and by purchasing yourself you as well as the supplier assume the burden of responsibility of correct sizingWe feel the $fee was justified and appropriateWe commend our employee for bringing this discrepancy to light thus avoiding the customer bearing the full charge initially agreed toThere was no financial gain for the company throughout this as the labor expenses incurred outweighed the charges. This disposal fee is not and has never been part of a tire mounting fee nor is it imposed on any listing or advertisementThe reasoning for this is simply that we could never assume that we would be disposing of a persons property or if a customer may bring in wheels without tires on them (new wheels)The customer is never required to dispose of their old tires with us and we will bag and load their old tires at no additional charge if they elect to dispose elsewhere or save as sparesWe are sorry to find Mr*** unsatisfied with his experience recentlyWe did our best to accommodate the circumstances at the time and provide a fair resolution

At Used Tire Warehouse we do offer many products and servicesIt is true that we do not list all of these on a menu board as stated as we simply cannot list them allTire disposal is a fee which is listed separately and confirmed in advance to every customer and on each job order that we writeTo now be accused of not performing the work that we did indeed perform that day is simply unnecessary. We do have video surveillance to confirm that the work described was in fact completed as statedWe here at Used Tire Warehouse show the utmost respect to each and every customer that walks through our doorIt is appalling that there would be such an attempt to tarnish our name over circumstances resulting from a mistake that was in no way our fault or in our controlWe stand firm on our previous statements to this matter as we feel we treated the customer fairly and truthfully throughout

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted].  “All we did was let the air out of the tires”When the service tech that first informed me of the issue, I asked him if there would be a charge. I distinctly remember the tech saying that there would be no charge and that “all we did is let the air out of the tires.” This statement runs contrary to the much more extensive and detailed description of work done by a co-worker which has since been described in detail in the response to my initial Revdex.com complaint. Disposal FeeMy issue with the disposal fee is that it is not listed anywhere on the list of services and prices on the board behind the service desk. There is no reason it should not be listed as an itemized fee/charge along with all the other services. It is thus a hidden fee that applies to virtually anyone getting new tires installed who doesn't want to take their used tires back home with them. This fee amounts to an additional $12 for most customers. Customer-supplied tiresInstall of customer-supplied tires is a service that Used Tire Warehouse has offered for years. I have used them multiple times at their current and former location. Customers choosing to bring in their own tires should be treated fairly, whether or not they purchased their tires at Used Tire Warehouse. **Inspection of PartsDespite the owner/manager's claim, a rudimentary and preliminary inspection of parts is necessarily part of such a service. Such an inspection was in fact performed, although only after alleged work was done towards the full install. Such an inspection should be done before installation work begins. ConclusionI believe that rudimentary preliminary inspection is necessarily part of the install of any third party parts (i.e. will these parts fit? Etc.). While the business has said that this isn't part of the service, they did in fact conduct such an inspection, which further affirms that it is part of the service they are offering. I do not think that I was treated fairly and that I should be charged for any alleged work which had just begun according to the tech that I spoke with first. Since my car was still in their shop, it was easy for them to restate the amount of work and charge me. There was nothing I could do.e Throughout, I have been given conflicting accounts from the tech and the owner/manager about how much work was actually done after the issue was discovered (valve stems etc. as describe in the response to the initial complaint). This calls into question whether or not any work was done at all. Thus, in conclusion, I do not accept Used Tire Warehouse's response. I think the charge should be refunded. I also believe they should list an itemized disposal fee to their pricing board so that consumer's are aware that is included ahead of time, before they are at the point of finalizing their purchase
Regards,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] came in to have 4 of his tires installed on rims he provided. We completed the work and roughly a week later Mr. [redacted] returned and stated we removed the sensorsfrom each rim. I told him this was not possible as sensors are bolted in the wheel and we would not remove these as it...

would take much labor to do so. He was unsure if there were sensors to begin with. Upon confirming the wheels did not have sensors Mr. [redacted]'s vehicle would not start due to the battery being dead. We helped buy using a battery pack to start the vehicle. Later in the day Mr. [redacted] called us to state he had check engine lights on. I told him we did not touch anything that would cause these lights to go. Upon receiving this complaint from the Revdex.com I also called Mr. [redacted] twice but my calls have gone unreturned.
