I discussed a fence being moved on my property & rebuilt within my property line on 10/3/19 after the prior fence builder refused to correct the error. on 11/13/19, I paid Terry (Bluewood Fencing) $2350 as the 50% deposit to begin work on the project. the agreement was for his team to tear down the fence that was located on the neighbors property, rebuild it on my property, & replace all pickets so the full fence matched all the way around.

As the lack of obtaining a permit by the prior builder was a large concern, Terry insured me he would obtain the permit for the job. To date I have to see a permit. He advised me that he had obtained one as required and the city would be by the next week for the final view (1/24/20), but I later found out he had not.

After the first payment on 11/13, I had to text and call him multiple times before he came out to complete the job. he finally showed up, only after I demanded my deposit back, on 1/21/20 to build the fence, 69 days after the deposit was paid. The job was finished on 1/24, at which time I paid the final payment.

On 1/25, after I was able to see the fence in the daylight. I advised him that there was a gap between the double gate that was rather large, which he stated he would look at. To date, he has yet to come view or repair the issue.

He had also stated from the beginning that he would provide documentation & photos for me to take to court against the original builder. He now refused to offer any documentation, including a copy of the final full itemized invoice.

On 3/8, I provided him with photos of other issues to the fence, which he stated he would take care of, which he has not.

On 3/28, I advised him one last time that I was filing a Revdex.com complaint. He promised he would be here by 3/31 to correct the issues. He never showed up.

Not only did he not show up on the numerous dates he stated he would throughout the last 6 months, he never followed up to provide a status or reason for not following through.

Desired Outcome

Finish the job I would like a copy of the final itemized invoice. I would like the permit to be pulled and inspection completed. I would like the repairs to be completed. If these items are not completed within the next 5 business days, I would like a full refund on payment. At which time, he may come tear down the fence he built.

The permit was applied for on April 2. It takes time for them to approve the permit and when they approve the permit Bluewood Fencing will call for a review of the fence. The fence is within the property lines and we built the fence as it should of been built the first time.

Regarding the issue of the fence we will address those once the permit has been approved by the city of Rock Hill.

The gab on a double gate is required due to the hardware we install. Making it smaller would cause a problem in opening. We can install a board to close gab. However will change the look of the fence

We will go around the fence and make sure all boards are installed correctly.

Mr. also stated in the pass regarding the gabs between each picket. This is a standard 6ft tall Dog Ear picket fence. These boards do get smaller as they dry. We can no do anything regarding this. We do advise Me. *** to stain the fence to keep the fence from drying out more.

Mr. stated that the Fence was installed wrong by the pass contractor. The fence was over the property line by 8 feet in some areas. We came in to help him because, the other company refused to do so. We didn't charge him our standard fee to remove the fence or to install new fence. Saving him thousands of dollars. The next door neighbor who's property he was over threat to sue him so we rush to do the fence and we failed to get the permit. Our fault, however being done now

Regarding the 70 days it took to start his project we are a fair size fence company we stay 4 to 5 weeks booked. However with the holidays and the winter weather we fell behind in getting to his project. However, once we got started on the job we removed his old fence and put up new material within 2.5 business days. Only reason took half the day was his power went out. We finished in the rain just so he could have his privacy back. Which is very important

Regarding writing statement regarding the other fence companies work is not our responsibility, our lawyer advise us not to get involved. We took over 20 pictures and sent to Mr. the day we started. We have that email and so does he.

We will follow up once permit has been approved and once we are done.

We paid $2400 to Bluewood Fencing on November 21, 2019. This was 50% of the balance required to purchase items to install a fence. We have called, texted, and emailed with the owner, Terry, and have all of that documentation. The fence has not been installed and we have been told numerous times that he would refund our money. As of today, the owner has not done so. Terry continually told us he would install the fence but always had an excuse as to why he could not complete our project. The last date we were given for installation was March 16. Terry did not complete our fence and posted the fence he did complete for another customer on his Facebook page that day. We believe Terry has no intentions of installing our fence and we believe without intervention he will not return our money either. We have no other choice but to file this claim in hopes that Terry will finally do the right thing and return our money!

Refund We would like the full $2400 refunded to us within 10 business days.

Fence was installed with one section being the wrong fence type. One gate was installed where it will not fully open and a post cap is missing.
The contractor installed my fence back in July. I was not home when they finished the work. That night I noticed that one section of the fence was the wrong fence picket type and that a post cap was missing. I also noticed that the way that they had installed one of the gates it would not open as it got stuck on the ground. I immediately contacted the company and was told they'd be out to fix it the following week. It's been 3 months of me following up with them, them promising to come out that week and then never showing up.

Desired Outcome

I want the fence section replaced, the post cap added, and the gate switched to open the other way so it actually opens.

We have spoken to the homeowner and once the fence panel is made we will fix these items. We stopped using this vendor. We had to hire another to make his fence panel.

Will be shipped next week. We are sorry it took this long to get these items done

Yes this is all I've been asking for for 3 months. Although I was told last week it had been received and if time allowed was going to be done last Friday. That he doesn't have the materials yet seems to contradict that, so we'll see.

Hired Terry W DBA Carolina Lawn Care Solutions to complete backyard project. Contract still has not been completed in 12 months as of 9/3/19.
Terry W DBA Carolina Lawn Care Solutions was contacted on 8/31/18 to provide an estimate for a 4 foot aluminum fence, sod, garden border, and rockwork pathway as a total project. Terry took measurements and on 9/03/18 provided a contract and invoice (#C097) to do all the work for $4959.50. The contract required us paying 50% up front (check*** cleared by Terry on 9/5. The contract also stated the project would be completed in 3-4 days.

The garden border was started on 10/18/18 but not completed. Dirt was brought in 10/25/18 to level the backyard so the fence could be installed evenly. The fence was finally installed on 11/17/18. Terry requested the remaining 50% to paid once the fence was installed to complete the sod, garden border and rock walkway. Check #1771 cleared by Terry on 12/3/19 and the project was now paid in full.

The sod was delivered on 4/12/19 and only half was installed. Terry came back on 4/15/19 to complete the second half in which was dried out from sitting for three days on a pallet. We were able to water the new sod and it has taken.

Terry came of 5/7/19 to show samples of flagstone that was going to be used for the rock pathway. Terry then came on 6/28/19 to install an additional layer on the garden border. Dirt was not brought in to fill the garden nor the border was completely finished.

I have been contacting Terry since 7/3/19. All I have been getting is excuses and lack of response. The truck is in the shop, the kids, out of town,the weather, the excuses go on and on. As of 9/3/19 which is one year the work was never completed to the contract.

Since 8/27/19 I have asked for a refund on the unfinished work (rock garden pathway for $1260.00). Terry responded he does not owe any refund since the cost of the project was higher than expected yet he will not come to the home and detail out the costs incurred.

Terry took the project providing low pricing so he would get the work. However, he quoted a project to take 3-4 days has turned into 12 full months. Also he took his estimate and created a contract/ invoice on cost. He never communicated any changes or asked approval to make changes.

The charges Terry is claiming is 107 feet of aluminum fence but I measured the actual footage to be 93 feet without the gates. Now Terry wants to charge for 6 extra square feet of dirt, 110 square yards of sod, and an additional 5 foot gate that were never included on the contract. Not sure how he can have this many misses on the contract.

On 8/28/19 Terry was going provide detail of the project. To this date no responses or commitment to have this resolved. This company/ Terry is running a very shady business with no commitment what so ever to provide the best service and proper customer service techniques. Very disappointed.

Hired to install a fence. Paid over $5000 but 6 months later the fence is still incomplete.
I hired this company in January to install a fence. I gave him a copy of my survey and he looked at the yard and gave me an estimate. After the job was completed he charged more than his original estimate. I paid the amount the next day. He told me to let him know if there were concerns. I immediately contacted him to let him know the fence comes apart when the gate closed and when it's leaned on. Apparently get wasn't connected with screws in some places. He promised me someone would be out to fix it that week. He "no showed". I texted and called to ask if he was going to complete the fence. He said yes some one would be out that week but again no one came. I then called to say a neighbor broke a panel. I asked for that to be replaced my neighbor agreed to pay for it. He agreed. I've been emailing, texting and calling him to complete my fence since February. I also let him know that a neighbors purchased a survey and my fence is on their property. He said he would see what he could do to rectify it. He was paid over $5000. Over the course of 5 months he has continuously promised to complete it only to not come or call.

Desired Outcome

I need him to complete the original job. Move the fence over off my neighbor's property and replace the damaged panel or refund me enough money to hire someone else to do it. I believe 6 months is long enough. I don't know if he's trying to take advantage of me because I'm a single female or because I'm African American but he definitely took advantage of me.

Don't waste your time and money...
He always estimate with cliens low price for fence service and nobody can bite his price.
...BUT...
You will be waiting at least over ONE MONTH in waiting list ...he had a lot reasons for re-schedule .
He will extra charge everything with cliens when he come build the fence ( he gave me 02 gates 4ft free- that's mean total 8ft gate - because my order over 150ft ,but I didn't want 02gates ,I want one double gate 8ft , he charged me more 150usd for that gate ???)
He never Warranty or give a receipt for you.
( do you want buy something over 2,000usd without warranty and receipt ? )
After 03 days he installed the fence for me ,it's fell off 25 degrees by rain. I called he come back and fix it for me ,he said he will but not now..he very busy.
After 03 weeks ,He come back and build the fence for my neighbor. He checked my fences and he said he will fix it after he done with my neighbor's fence...
He run away...non pickup the phone...non come back. I tried to contact with him many times and he text for me :
" I can write you a check for 10 per post you have 3 post. That's more than I charged you"
(03 posts falling down it's mean around 40ft fence felling too )
...
"Well take the 30 and fix it."
I paid for him Total 2,900usd and now he don't warranty for his job . what I can do with his 30usd ?
It's the last time I contacted with him. Never received any money from him.
So ,I post my troubles for everyone else want to know about his job and his services..PLEASE DO NOT WORK WITH HIM..if you don't want more headache and stress like me.
