Carolina Mortgage Group Inc. failed to complete and close a personal home refinance that was initiated in November 2012.In November 2012 I spoke with [redacted], owner of Carolina Mortgage Group Inc. to initiate a refinance of my personal home mortgage. The paperwork and appraisal was completed in early 2013. It is now December 2013 and my refinance has not yet closed. Since spring of 2013, every time Mr. [redacted] scheduled a closing with the designated attorney, the appointment for closing has been delayed. There have been 5 delays to date, the first, Mr. [redacted] admitted was by his own lack of due diligence because he claimed that a pressing family issue disrupted his work. Mr. [redacted] explained that the next scheduled closing was delayed because he had to change lenders which necessitated the transfer of my application and paperwork. Since then, all subsequent scheduled closings have been postponed due to lack of the requisite "clear to close" from the underwriter. In one case, Mr. [redacted] did not complete the documentation properly and was required by the lender to resubmit the corrected paperwork. Like the other documented Revdex.com complaint, Mr. [redacted] offered to pay my mortgage due to the ongoing problems. Mr. [redacted] paid my October 2013 mortgage and attempted to do so in November 2013 although the payment was executed late which disrupted my otherwise exemplary payment history with my current mortgage company. All throughout this process, I have never been able to leave a message on Mr. [redacted]'s mobile phone which he promotes as an alternative way to reach him. 99.9% of my calls are met with a message that Mr. [redacted]'s voice mail is full and cannot accept any messages. After I place multiple calls to Mr. [redacted] I may get a text message indicating that he will call me back - sometimes he does and sometimes he does not. My calls to Mr. [redacted]'s office phone are never answered by any human being although I am able to leave messages. I have had to chase Mr. [redacted] via phone, text messages and e-mail correspondence in order to get basic information about the progress of my refinance. This has been without question, an unacceptable, inexcusable and disappointing experience. I have repeatedly told Mr. [redacted] to simply admit it if he was unable to finish this refinance and I would move on and pursue a different option but he has insisted that he would honor the process he started and complete my refinance. I have never experienced such a lack of communication and unprofessional service. I have missed almost a year of the savings that I was to receive from this refinance and Mr. [redacted]'s continual excuses as to why my refinance has not been completed are baseless. I would not want any other consumer to be misled by Carolina Mortgage Group Inc. the way I have been.Desired SettlementComplete and close the existing refinance application by December 15, 2013.

Im a retired vet and started to refi last year and have perfect credit and have not closed yet.I was told my mortgage was paid and now I am delinquentI started this process last May and gave the company 1500 up front and was promised this would be returned at closing. I was told that I would close in 30 days. It is January 2014 and I have still not closed. I was told that because of him not getting my loan closed on time, he would make my mortgage payment. He said this has been done each month for 4 months and he has bounced a check 4 times and today I got a letter from my mortgage company saying we are over 6,000 delinquent and facing foreclosure!!!! This is unacceptable. I have never heard of a mortgage company asking for fees up front and taking this long to close a refinance with perfect score on a VA loan for a vet.!!!He has also borrowed money and not paid it back. He is bad about not returning calls and going "missing in action" for days. His voice mail is always full. Questions are answered with lies and more lies. Every month he has been making up more excuses and not closing my loan.I was promised an interest rate that has now gone up and I have lost the opportunity to get that interest rate because he has not closed my loan. Now I find out that his license have been terminated and he has still been promising to close my loan and that he would make my mortgage payment if it had not closed. Each month he states he makes the payment and as soon as it shows on my mortgage account, then his check bounces and I am charged more fees. Now I have an over 30 day late payment on my credit!!He had told me I would be closed and I would get monies back and this has never happened. I am fed up and this should not be allowed. He needs to answer to this fraudulent and scam of a business and should never be able to be employed in this line of work again in the future. There are many other clients that are going through this same thing. He is getting clients money up front and using it to pay his bills and then never closing the loans and not returning calls or following through with his promises.Desired SettlementI want my loan closed and the monies and fees that he owes me and the interest rate I was promised. I want him to have the 30 day late payment taken off my credit and my credit redeemed.

talked to Mr [redacted] of CMG to refinance our home. Sent in [redacted] to do so. Once he got my money it was one excuse after another. I gave [redacted] the owner of CMG [redacted] to refinance my home back in November of 2012. We locked in at a rate of 3.5%. After he received our money it was one excuse after another. A lot of family problems, a death in the family, his dog to the vet, he had to change underwriters, and he at least gave me the excuse that his phone had messed up 7 times as to why he couldn't contact me. You can't leave voice messages on his phone due to his mailbox being full. If you text him sometimes he would call back sometimes he wouldn't. Buy this time the rates have gone up but he swears he can still honor the rate we locked into. I would call him about 4 times a week and the one time I would get in touch with him and ask when we were going to close he would ask " are you going to be around such and such dates". When that date would arrive I wouldn't hear from here and we would go through this whole charade over and over again. So a year later we have lost the [redacted] we gave him, the 400.00 it cost to have the house appraised, and not to mention the thousands we lost due to the rising intrest rate. Now I cant even get in touch with him. He wont return my calls or my text. I found his business address in Zebulen and went there. His office is closed but they shared a building with other companies. A lady that worked at another office told me that he hasn't been there in a while and that I wasn't the first person to come looking for him. She told me the only thing she knew was that she thought he lived in [redacted] I found his address and went to his home but he wouldn't come to the door. I asked neighbors if a [redacted] lived their and they confirmed. So now I am trying to find as many people that I can to band together to stop this guy from hurting anyone else.Desired SettlementI want all the money that I gave this guy refunded back to me and I want him exposed. Altogether [redacted]
