Company failed to fix septic tank control box. Arrived late for appointment twice and EXTREMELY negative attitudes. Rip OFF! Buyer BEWARE!18 Dec, 2014[redacted] showed up late for appointment to fix control box on septic tank. He had NO clue what to do. Said he'd never seen a system such as mine ([redacted]). I turned power on to system and he said yeah it's working b/c of hum. However, he could NOT answer basic questions about system or perform a function check. [redacted] was an hour late the next day. In fact, he never showed up after an hr. b/c he called and tried to charge me another service fee. I refused to pay & called office manager [redacted], an even bigger dud. Save your money, use [redacted]. Desired SettlementRipped me off for $100.00 Service Fee!Business Response Contact Name and Title: [redacted], Office ManagerContact Phone: [redacted]Contact Email: [redacted]Our company was dispatched to this call through a warranty company. We did go out on original call and resolved his problem. Technician checked system and determined no power going to the unit causing the backup. Technician turned the breaker that the customer (who just bought the house) was unaware that he had. He did ask questions about the system that my technician could not answer(as it was the first septic system like this he had seen). As previously stated this was through a warranty company, so I got a call stating that the system was not still working. Scheduled for technician to go out, technician called the homeowner when in route and homeowner said that it was working fine but he wanted us to show him how it works. The warranty company does not cover for us to explain how his plumbing works, the technician quoted a price of our hourly rate($90.00) for one hour to explain this and the homeowner does not want to pay it. I would love to get stuff without paying for it but yet thats a little ignorant, we all know how society works today. I did mention that he could have opted for the preventative maintenance package that would cover things like this or he could find the model of the system and download a owners manual online. Several stipulations led to this disgrunteled customer, one is he should have purchased a better plan through his warranty company if he was needing edjucation on his system and he should have done a little research about a house that he was purchasing and how the utilities operate. Not all water and sewer come and go from the city, some systems are very expensive and advanced. We apologize that he feels like we ripped him off, all the money we collected on was the service fee that is mandatory for his warranty company($100).Consumer Response As I stated in my previous statement I was ripped-off by an EXTREMELY incompetent company that should NOT have even accepted [redacted] (warranty company) request to service my septic tank control box. Their own words in response to my complaint points to their gross incompetency "He did ask questions about the system that my technician could not answer(as it was the first septic system like this he had seen). Need I say more? Request my $100 back!Final Business Response We are sorry that you feel this way. Everyday day septic systems are designed for homes, some are custom made for the home depending on the circumstances. We have been diagnosing and installing septic control boxes for 30+ years. Just because our technician did not know how to explain the system to you, does not mean that he does not know the basic functions to get it working. He did diagnose the problem and resolved it fulfilling our contract to the warranty company, resulting in the service fee. We will be more than happy to reimburse you of your service fee if that is all your after. I just don't understand how you want us to research your system and to explain it to you for nothing. I would assume that your time is valuable as is ours. Unfortunately this is not the first time that a home warranty company has led someone astray by not verbally explaining your contract. We also called the home warranty authorization department while on site to get authorization on how to proceed. On our invoices it states that by signing this invoice (which you signed) acknowledges that work has been completed and you have received a copy. In final, in no way have we used slanderous terminology as you have throughout this whole ordeal, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season and we will put a check in the mail.
