Before we moved in, upon paying the deposit and first month's rent, *** *** said that she would have the privacy fence that was only halfway done finished, she would have a dishwasher installed that was no longer in place, she would have the garage door fixed that had many electrical problems, and the hole in our garage that leaked patched upAfter opening the door and moving in none of these problems had been addressedI politely reminded her and her office staff every month when I paid our rent in fullEach time they said they would make a note of itSix months later it is still not completeA woman came to my door today and said she was a part of the State Appraisal District and would need to take pictures of the outside of the homeI asked for her name and Identification Card which she said was in her carShe then began to step into my home and said she would need to take pictures of the inside firstAs she took pictures of the home I called the office of *** *** and asked if an appraiser was scheduled to come out today and the staff member was unsureShe asked the woman's name and I said she told me ***She confirmed that *** wasn't appraisal personnel but a very good friend of the *** family and was there to take pictures for the appraisal processI thanked her for her time and confirming for me as "***" did notLess than an hour later my husband receives a call at work from *** *** saying that she was offended to receive a call from me asking who the person in the house was and that it was disrespectfulMy husband explained that I have the right to ask for additional information about people entering our home for the safety of our children and familyOne cannot simply trust that someone is who they say they are these daysI feel I went about the process the proper way in simply calling the office to confirm that this person was meant to be here and take pictures, but *** *** disagreedShe went on to tell my husband that because of this she would not be installing a dishwasher, fixing the fence or the garageOur lease is up in six months but unfortunately for the discourteous and unprofessional behavior of *** *** we will be breaking our lease early and moving within thirty days
