CAROPSY Reviews (%countItem)

I hired Caropsy to repair my vehicle. The business is listed as a mobile repair company. A technician came to my home to do a diagnostic and it was determined that it was a job that could not be completed at my home, instead it had to be towed to their shop for repair. At that time, the mechanic provided me with a quote of roughly $3,000; $1600 of which was required to be paid upfront. I signed the contract, paid the down payment and on the next day, my vehicle was towed away. I was provided with a tentative turn around time of 2 weeks for repair completion. It has now been nearly two months and my car has not been returned to me. I have made numerous calls and left voice messages as well as sent text messages. The company is not answering the phone, nor returning my calls or texts.

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I would like for my car to be returned to me and my money returned, minus the expenses for the parts and repairs that have already been incurred. Additionally, I am requesting that the contract be terminated.

CAROPSY provides mobile repairs for the majority of our work. In this instance the customer needed the transmission rebuilt along with other repairs which could not be performed using our mobile services. Additionally, the customer's vehicle is a vintage vehicle and more than 50 years old. The customer was advised that ordering parts for this type of vehicle would extend the repair time and simply getting the correct parts ordered and delivered would take a minimum of 2 weeks. The customer was provided with an estimated repair time of 2-3 months. The first set of parts ordered for the vehicle were did not fit properly on the vehicle and had to be returned (customer was notified of this issue). The second order was cancelled by the supplier who stated they no longer had the part available (customer was notified of this issue). A third order has been placed and due to COVID-19, shipping and delivery has taken substantially longer than anticipated (customer was notified of this issue). CAROPSY is still waiting for the correct parts to be delivered. The supplier has not yet provided a shipping or delivery date. While the customer has contacted CAROPSY several times for an update, there simply is not an update for us to provide.

The reply by Caropsy is inaccurate. True - the vehicle is vintage; however, I was never provided with a 2-3 month completion time-frame. Otherwise, I would have never entered into the agreement. Due to Caropy's inadequate business practices, I had my vehicle towed away (at my own expense) from the apartment complex that was supposedly the company's shop to a new repair shop on 4/10/20. Contrary to Caropsy's statement about the delay in receiving parts, my vehicle repairs will be complete next week. I would like to also add that it was brought to my attention that my car battery was not in the car. In other words, it was removed from the vehicle while in Caropy's possession. Furthermore, the repair shop also informed me that the carburetor has not been repaired, yet I was informed that it had been repaired by the technician on 3/9/20. Caropsy informed me that I breached the contract due to my contact with Revdex.com, and refuses to return the money that was given to them. Nowhere in the contract does it state that Revdex.com contact is forbidden. It was not until my contact with Revdex.com did I receive a response from Caropsy after my numerous calls and voice messages. All I am requesting is the return of my $1632.67 and my car battery that was removed from the vehicle, or a partial refund with the parts that were supposedly ordered with receipt documentation and the return of the battery that was removed from the vehicle.
