Carpet Culture & Rugs Inc. Reviews (4)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# ***, and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
(1) J*** B***, sole proprietor of Carpet Culture (*** *** *** *** *** ** ***) admitted damages to two of my designer rugs in the cleaning processHe offered $in compensation against a total invoice of $9,415, which hardly covered what I paid for the cleaning let alone the damageWe agreed on the settlement over a handshake.(2) Now he suddenly refuses to honor the agreement on the grounds that “COMPANY HAS RIGHT TO CHANGE ANY TERMS OR CONDITIONS WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE.”(3) The above statement of policy is clearly in VIOLATION OF THE LAWS FOR CONSUMER PROTECTION IN NEW YORK CITY AND NEW YORK STATE.(4) LET THE BUYER BEWARE.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above
Sincerely,

We have already answered all above question. Thanks

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Mr. J[redacted] has fabricated the comment he attributes to me upon delivery of the rugs. The rugs in questions were never unrolled upon delivery because my great room where the two rugs were to be placed was still under reconstruction.
Nowhere on either the invoice or the business card can one find his full legal name nor the name of the proprietor of Carpet Culture as repeatedly requested. He went back on his word and handshake with regard to his measly offer of $500 compensation for a bill total of $9,415. He represented himself as sole proprietor of Carpet Culture. Now he claims that his “directors” did not approve of his own agreement.
My housekeeping ladies did not damage the rugs. They reported the damage done by Carpet Culture. Mr. J[redacted]’s response to my complaint and failure to honor his own agreement on token compensation reveal him and his business establishment as unethical, and should serve as a warning to future consumers.

We are sorry that things haven't worked out but we have done whatever we promised and charged you for. The rugs were opened upon delivery in front of you and your exact words were "beautiful job"! We did not hear about any rug damage or fading until 8 months had passed. I still made two trips to...

your house and made a personal visit to show you and explain that industrial vacuums used by your maids are the cause of the wool fiber shedding. This has nothing to do with our job. As you can see on our [redacted] page, we have amazing reviews. Customer satisfaction has been very important to us. I still made it an effort to help you and we did free blocking. It breaks our heart to get such a review from you when we tried to fix mistakes that weren't even made by us. We appreciate your effort to write this review. Our company have a strict policy which helps us keeping the reputation to high standard. According to the Invoice Number [redacted] which has generated on August **, 2016 for cleaning of 29 hand made rugs and including stain removal of 6 rug and 29 rug pads for which we have charged you $9,415.00. We laid down the rugs with the rug pads in the second week of September 2016. That time you were completely satisfied with our services. After providing services, we have strict policy that we make sure our customers are happy. For that reason, we accept any complains or disputes within 7 days of delivery. Within that period we can cover any extents of complains or disputes regarding our services or any damages caused to rug. INVOICE Attached. After almost 9 months, [redacted] called us and said that his maid has been complaining him about 2 rugs which are not being properly washed (according to his maid). After his request, even though it was mentioned in our invoice TERMS & CONDITIONS that no complains after 7 days of delivery, I visited his place twice as a courtesy and gave him a free blocking of the rug which has been used after the cleaning from August **, 2016. Even after that he has called us and asked to give him refund or he will file a complaint to Revdex.com and other social medias. We haven't agreed to refund him and he keep threatening us that he will write a bad review which he did on [redacted] on May [redacted] and we responded on May [redacted]. We can not go beyond our company policy to fulfill any invalid disputes. Also, he asked for my name. My full name is on the business card. He received two business cards, it's also in the emails, all over the website and social media. There is no reason for me to hide my full name. We do not understand what he meant by this. Thanks,-[redacted]
