I received the wrong carpet. Wrong color, wrong pattern.
We were very sorry to hear that Ms. is unhappy with her carpet. In accordance to our contract (attached), the carpet is warranted by the manufacturer.
On the day of installation, the customer signed for the carpet (work ticket attached), and it got installed. After installation, the customer expressed concerns about the overall look of the carpet when compared to the store sample. On Ms.’s behalf, we filed a claim with the manufacturer. The manufacturer agreed that there is an issue with the carpet, whereas the carpet may be slightly off in construction when compared to the store sample.
The manufacturer has offered Ms. $450 to keep the carpet off construction and keep the balance of the manufacturer warranties. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer $1600. The manufacturer has now agreed to offer Ms. $650, six hundred and fifty dollars.
In the event this offer is not satisfactory, Carpet King agrees to replace the carpet with any other Shaw carpet similar in value. The carpet replacement would involve a service like the one we already performed, to include take-up and disposal of the old carpet and installation of the new. Since we cannot “pack” Ms.’ basement, we are offering to reasonably help with moving basic pieces of furniture.

I am rejecting this response because: Work order ticket is signed, but nothing was checked and I expressed my concern to the installers. Carpet King and Shaw both acknowledge wrong carpet. I will not do business with either company again, so I will not pick out a new carpet from them. $650 is not acceptable.
