Allegedly this company was originally called Once A Year., which was a horrendous company My lawn was the worst in the neighborhood A few years later I needed shrub trimming and weeds pulled Stellar was the company I contacted....then they changed their name to Service Smart Unbeknownst to me..they were allegedly part of the Once A Year...Last July I was charged $with the promise of one year plus one month In months they have only been to my home times I called and was promised today Today came and went The gal in the office said she had two addresses for me The "Manager" is now in another lower capacity, and no one returns my phone call I am out $445, and my shrubs and weeds are so bad, the Property Owner's Assnis sending me letters Service Smart...is Service Stupid I am going to Small Claims Court to get my money back They did not fulfill their obligation

This has been a long and tedious year dealing with this company There doesn't seem to be anyone in charge of making sure services are performed on a regular basis I never know which day of the week the lawn service will show up or if they will show up at all The tech that was supposed to do weeding never took his phone out of his ear, he held the phone in one hand and pulled to weeds with the other and left the notification sheet in the door Ten minutes Max in my yard The girls in the office are very nice and professional but they can't control the work performance of the people in the field

After doing business for years with this company and its predecessor (same ownership), I realized my lawn had not been treated for months After numerous phone calls and promises, the company still did not provide service It was impossible to speak to a manager/owner, and the receptionist, while polite, just spewed apologies Beware of a company that does not honor its long-time customers

I am very disappointed in Service Smart and would not recommend them to my worst enemy! They have not honored the bi- monthly mowing contract and my grass was so overgrown that when it was finally mowed today there are clumps of cut grass all over the lawn and it looks terrible! I've also had to call them just about every month to ask when they are coming to cut the grass! Only one month did they show up as contracted twice to cut the grass I have called to speak with the manager and/or the guy who signed me up with all the guarantees of a perfect lawn, and as of today I have not received a call back I plan on opting out of my existing contact as soon as possible Do not go with them!!! They are unreliable

This company, Service Smart, which has gone by various other names, is a total jokeLast fall (2014) I was told by management my lawn would be in great shape by springManagement never returns calls but is big on giving promises and doing absolutely nothing to keep them.Just a little communication would me nice

This company is the worst ever. We bought the lawn service and mowing service. They came in the beginning and sprayed the yard. The mowing service is so incompetent, they mow occassionaly and then only part of the yard. They have yet to edge or trim anything. We have had to pay someone else to come and cut the grass.

After numerous phone calls and promises, the company still did not provide service. It was impossible to speak to a manager/owner, and the receptionist, while polite, just spewed apologies. Beware of a company that does not honor its long-time customers.

Contracted with Service Smart for lawn mowing/trimming every two weeks and trimming of plants quarterly. In 7 months since the mowing service has never been delivered on time, even after daily phone calls reminding them it has been two weeks. When we call they always promise it will be taken care of "tomorrow" but seldom is. They mow the house next door or across the street and drive away. The 14 day mowing cycle is more like every 18 days or longer. The plant trimming happens more quickly after a phone call. Another part of the contract is "pest service". The only "treatment" we have had is a guy squirted boric acid into a couple of cabinet hinges in the kitchen and master bath. The lawn is a total embarrassment and I will seek to get a refund from the company of the remainder of our contract.

I recently had work done by Service Smart. The estimate had a figure for work which said "sod backyard" but when I started to pay the owner said I owed $500 more because the cost of the sod had to be added. To me, sod the yard means including the sod. I believe it was the classic bait and switch and have had no response from the company even though they are aware of my displeasure.
