Concerning Complaint # [redacted] IL Mr [redacted] states in his complaint he has written proof form Portico Homes that Carpet Weaver’s installed flooring at his home built by Portico Homes back in It is true that Carpet Weavers does provide all flooring and installation services to Portico Homes today, however at the time this house was built, we were not the sole flooring provider Our records show that we have never done any work at [redacted] *** It is my belief that the correspondence from Portico Homes was an honest mistake in an almost automated response due to our long standing business relationship If we have made a mistake in our record, and Portico Homes or Mr [redacted] has an invoice showing we provided the flooring, we will gladly address any and all concerns under warranty with the flooring Regards, Tyler Weaver President Carpet Weavers Office 309-663-

We are very disappointed that We could not meet the expectations of Mr and Mrs ***We did recognize and remedy everything that could beIn the case of the seam in question, there is nothing that can be doneThe seam is constructed
correctly, sealed, trimmed, and meets all industry standardsIt is unfortunate, but seams are required for most jobsIn this particular layout, the seam in this doorway is unavoidable
The industry standard regarding seams is located in a brochure called Carpet & Rug Institute Standard Section called Proper Seam Characteristics contains the following statement: "With any seaming method, a properly constructed seam:
*Has cleanly trimmed edges properly secured with seam sealer
*Has tightly abutted edges without gaps or overlaps
*Maintains reasonable pattern match where applicable
*Will not be totally invisible"
I have attached a picture of the seam as well

We previously had this same carpet with no seam problems whatsoeverThe seam is unacceptable; the carpet needs to be replaced since there is nothing further they can do to repair it

Mr *** was not satisfied with the carpet after the two attempts to re-order and replace for himWe have issued a credit toward the account, and removed the material from his residenceIt is our intention to make Mr *** whole for the
damages as requestedwe have also requested a "tuft-bind" evaluation from the mill to determine if the material is withing manufacturing standards and ensure we will not run into similar situations in the future
I am rejecting this response because:The Flooring store has also said they didn't do the work So, at this point, I can't believe any of these folks I guess I'lljust have to pay someone to fix the the carpet re-stretch issue Simply pathetic how these companies operate Be carefuldoing business with these companies, as I believe once they get your money, you are on your own I know I won't be doingbusiness with either one ever again And if word of mouth is any indication, they will be losing some serious business Maybethat's what it will take to make these folks accountable Good luck to anyone buying from thes folks, or having a home builtfrom Portico Homes
