Below you will find our response to the complaint filed by [redacted] A [redacted] on June 24, (ID # [redacted] )First and foremost, Carpets-4-U is a family run business that has been dutifully serving the Orange County area for more than yearsFor three generations, we have put customer service above all elseBefore receiving this complaint, we reached out to the consumer and are under the impression that we have resolved all issuesWhile I in no way agree with Ms***’ characterization of the events, I regret that she felt disrespected and threatened by me, [redacted] Unsurprisingly perhaps, I also felt disrespected and threatened by Ms***, particularly when she threatened to sue me and went out of her way to engage in a conflict with my grandmother after we agreed to give her the promotional priceHere at Carpets-4-U we understand how miscommunication and misunderstanding can devolve into conflict and as such we put great value on accommodating our customersAs we have said many times, we are willing to give Ms [redacted] the promotional priceThank youSincerely, [redacted] ***

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I'm quite disappointed by the response from *** *** *** Since the filing of this complaint, I had received an apology for ***'s behavior from one of the owners of this company (***'s father) ***'s response completely contradicts this apology as he is taking no responsibility for his inappropriate behavior and has added statements If I had been offered the discount originally, there would have been no conflict and no need to file a complaintI also did not go out of my way to engage with his grandmother His grandmother was nothing but professional and if she had been allowed to deal with this, I don't doubt the situation would have been handled appropriately and I stated that to ***'s father when we spoke I also never threatened to sue them - I simply stated that they couldn't advertise something they weren't willing to offer *** was the one who stated, "I'm a lawyer so sue me." I even responded, "I'm not wanting to sue you, I just want the advertised price." I have no desire to do business with this company as this response shows the complete opposite of what *** stated in his response: "we put customer service above all else and we put great value on accommodating our customers." At no time did *** try to accommodate or provide appropriate customer service It's unfortunate that this family business puts up with unprofessional/threatening behavior The customers should not have to be threatened, harassed, or intimidated by someone, who if worked elsewhere other than a family business, would not be allowed to treat people this way.Sincerely,*** ***

While I in no way agree with Ms. [redacted]’ characterization of the events, I regret that she felt disrespected and threatened by me, [redacted]. Unsurprisingly perhaps, I also felt disrespected and threatened by Ms. [redacted], particularly when she threatened to sue me and went out of her way to engage in a conflict with my grandmother after we agreed to give her the promotional price. Here at Carpets-4-U we understand how miscommunication and misunderstanding can devolve into conflict and as such we put great value on accommodating our customers.
